Welcome to the perfect home base for your next Outer Banks beach vacation, this charming, updated home just a few blocks from the sandy shore. The fully enclosed back yard is perfect for those traveling with kids or dogs, and the front porch is the perfect perch for morning coffee – thanks to the Keurig in the kitchen – or evening cocktails. Inside, you’ll find an open layout, new flooring, and fresh white walls, making the space feel light and airy. The open kitchen features a full suite of appliances and plenty of counter space for the chef to make magic, and the dishwasher makes cleanup a breeze.

When it’s time to head out, grab the toys, boogie boards, beach blanket, and sun shade from the storage area downstairs and pop them in the provided beach wagon to make getting them to the sand all the easier. If you want to explore on two wheels, there are three beach cruisers and a bike trailer for kids available as well. When you return, the outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off the sand. Relax downstairs on the screened-in patio or grab a spot on the couch while you relax in the central AC. Step back out onto the deck after dinner to enjoy the breeze and plan for the next perfect beach day tomorrow.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Great Get away

House was beautiful. Awesome big back yard our dog loved. Boys enjoyed the bikes and biking around the neighborhood. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the beach.

Walking distance to both sides of the beach

It was great location close to the sound and a quick drive to the ocean side.Only issue is somehow complaints about sound one day when we were all relaxing watching tv. Didnt make much sense, so we kept windows closed the rest of the trip

Hidden Gem for Dog Parents

This place is an amazing place to stay especially when you have your fur babies with you. The house was lovely and the fenced backyard was amazing.

Girlfriends trip!

What a great house for the 4 of us to spend a few days in the Outer Banks! The location was perfect. Easy to tour both north and south ends of the islands! We will be back to this location again someday.

Great stay

The house was very clean in a quiet area not far from the beach. Back yard was perfect for our dog. The kids enjoyed the extra beach toys. Thank you would come back again!

Comfortable beach house

We greatly enjoyed our visit. Home is clean and comfortable. Proximity to beach access and restaurants is a plus. This is our second visit to this beach house. We will surely be back again.

Home away from home

This was my first time using VRBO and It was an excellent experience The home was easy to get to. It was close to everything it was clean. It was pet friendly open space was great. We, just didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Really, enjoyed our stay.

Great stay with dog!

Did a super short stay and really enjoyed the house. The fenced in backyard was a huge thing for us with our dog. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our coffee on the porch. Easy access to the main highway and a very short drive to the beach. Would stay here again!

Beautiful Stay in a Great Area!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Offshore Winds! Their home was so welcoming and had a great “homey” vibe. We didn’t feel like we were staying at someone else’s place. It felt like ours! They gave us plenty of towels and extra small amenities (like dish soap/sponge/dish and washer pods.) Very close to anything you could ask for - restaurants, coffee, gas stations, and BEACHES! I’d recommend this place to anyone and am excited to return!

Great Place To Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very nice. It was myself, my husband, and our dog. It is nice for a couple or small family. The fenced in yard was great for our dog. They have a large washer/dryer, a lot of beach gear to use, an outdoor shower, large deck that we loved to sit out on, plenty of parking. The area was very quiet but also very close to restaurants and retail. Since we were there after Labor Day we were easily able to park next to the beach on Hayman Dr. You can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes (they do provide a new beach wagon - walk to the light at Helga to cross). We read the owners book they provided and went to a lot of the suggested restaurants - there are so many good restaurants!

Weekend Getaway

This home was perfect for our long weekend getaway. I really appreciated the available beach items (toys, chairs, boogie boards, wagon) so we didn't need to take up car space bringing those! The house is on the soundside but there is a public beach access with parking 2 streets over on Hayman which makes it easy to get to the beach. Definitely recommend riding the bikes on the path by the sound for a relaxing evening activity!

Cozy weekend getaway

We planned a weekend get away, but the weather was not on our side. Luckily, this cozy home was the perfect escape from the weather. We snuggled up on the couch and binged shows/movies, caught up on laundry & enjoyed the swing downstairs as the storm blew in. Such a cute & cozy spot. Great location as well. Check out chili peppers for a fun time.

Nice stay!

Overall very pleased with the home. The proximity to everything is great. The street/neighborhood was quiet. The fenced in yard was very nice for the dog (and the kids). No need for the beach accessories since we were there in November but providing them was a nice touch. Kitchen was efficient with supplies. Would stay here again.

Bad communication and dirty

The rental was very dirty. Poop stains in the toilet. Bugs. Human hair all over the place. The dishwasher was full of dishes and bugs. The company VaCasa was extremely difficult to get a hold of. Many texts and 5 phone calls later they called the following day and still was not helpful. The location was in a great spot and after it was cleaned we had a good stay

Home away from home in OBX

We loved this home. It was clean, plenty of space and perfect distance to the beach. We used hayman entrance for the beach and it was not crowded, had showers to rinse. About half of the beach gear was not usable due to broken chairs and boogie boards but still enough there to use including an awesome sandbag tent to have some shade. The outside shower is a great concept but should have the shower head replaced. There’s a lot of noise from the neighbors to the right so sound machines in the bedrooms would be really helpful at drowning that out. All in all, would recommend and we will book again next time we go to OBX.

October Stay

The house was what we expected. It is a great location and very functional. The weird part was that one of the bedrooms was locked. So while we paid for the entire house, we were in fact prevented from using the entire house. Also, all of the blankets were downstairs in the laundry room. We didn't know this until after two nights of cold.

Property needs a few small repairs and so bug control. The ease of contacting the property manager was great. However no one contacted us letting us know when the repairman was coming.

Clean, met our needs!

Me and my buddy came to ride our motorcycles up and down OBX. So it was a great location, great place for our bikes. Really only there in evenings to sleep and watch tv. That being said, the description says two baths, it’s 1 1/2 baths. Master bedroom had a nice bed. Second bedroom bunk beds, third a full size, the third bedroom had no box spring under mattress, made bed very uncomfortable. In fact I slept on the couch it was more comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. And overall was a acceptable for our needs.

Great location and has much potential

We travelled to the Outer Banks to enjoy a girl's trip with my mother-in-law, 2-year-old, myself and our 2 dogs. The house had a few issues when we arrived, we used the text option, and the management team informed us they were not receiving our photos. The screens for the fully fenced yard were broken, we used beach gear to cover those areas. There were ants roaming through the master bedroom, to the bathroom, to the kitchen. The bathroom, only shower, could not be turned off fully, it had a continual drip. The house itself was not clean, there was so much trash under the couch, dressers, and beds. The under the house light did not work fully, only one side (facing the road) worked and there were no other lights under the house or in the backyard. I do wish they provided more light. When the pest company came to address the ants, there was no warning, they called to let us know they were outside and heard our dogs barking. We still do not know if they entered the property or not. We read the note from the owners of the property and love supporting them but don't think we would return to the property. If these issues are addressed, we would definitely return because the location was very nice, and the house was accommodating. Thank you for a pleasant stay and we hope the issues are addressed so others will enjoy this house as much as can be.

Will not be back

This property looked perfect for us and the dog during our weekend to the Outer Banks, however as soon as we arrived the problems started. The house was dirty- stained bedding, dirty sinks, hair on everything. We overlooked it on night one because it was late when we arrived and we were tired. Since the bedding was so dirty, we slept in our own blanket and purchased a new one at target for the next night. After a day of exercise, running around, and generally enjoying the day, we returned to shower and go to dinner which we could not do because the only shower is broken and will not turn on. We contacted the property management company and they said they’d send someone one over, but refused an ETA, so I contacted VRBO and we left the property and had to pay for a hotel! I have photos of the filth and the broken shower, but there has been no resolution from the property manager or VRBO. As of 1 pm we have had no contact with the property manager, VRBO, or a repair company. After more than an hour on the phone yesterday, we feel like our time was wasted and went to a location with a shower - the Hilton.

Poor property management

The home itself was decent for our small family. It’s on a very busy road and you will definitely hear traffic. We traveled with our dog and infant and unbeknownst to us they had a work order to carry out during our stay. Very inconvenient and questioning if I will ever book with Vacasa if this is their standard.
