Horrible Experience with Owner

I was able to book this property on Dec 15 and received a confirmation message from the owner for our stay on Jan 12. Reached out to owner on Jan 11th for check-in instructions since we hadn’t heard from them and got no response. Reached out again on the 12th and go no response. Reached out to VRBO for help contacting owner and they got no response initially. When VRBO was able to make contact, the owner said we couldn’t stay there because they already had someone staying there!!!! So we were stuck! VRBO said to go ahead and fly into Orlando and they would sort it out, which they did and we are grateful, but it took 3 hrs to sort this mess and for them to find us a hotel for the night after we landed in Orlando. All this could’ve been avoided if the owner hadn’t ignored our attempts for contact. Thank you VRBO staff for getting us a place to stay that night and the next, and another property for the remainder of our stay. Will never attempt to book with this owner again.
