Our family group of 16 (ranging from 2 to 96 years) had our best reunion ever at The Christmas Tree Inn (and we've spent weeks in several different New England states over the last 7 years!). In fact, before the week ended, we made a unanimous and enthusiastic decision to return in 2017, and confirmed our summer reservation with the owners. I agree with all the observations of other reviewers, so won't reiterate what a fun lodge it is to be in, how gorgeous the setting, how helpful the owners, how many things there are to do in the area, etc.! Some of our very favorite things? All sitting around the long table in the dining room and singing together after meals, with our portable keyboard set up facing the water. Canoeing and fishing after supper and listening to the loons. Scattering around the place to do our own things - reading outside on the dock, porch and beach, playing lawn games, sacking out on the couches in the living room, making personal pizzas in an assembly line in the huge kitchen. As others have said, you never feel you are on top of each other with so much space. The owner stopped by while we were there and made sure all our questions were answered. She was wonderful. I highly recommend this lodging!
