Welcome to Redgate Retreat - Your Indiana Getaway.
Relax. Recharge. Explore. Play. - Your Getaway from the Everyday!
Private home on 50 acres in the heart of Hoosier National Forest.
Three bedrooms (two w/Kings, one w/two Fulls). Two baths (shower/whirlpool and shower/tub). Fantastic kitchen. Open kitchen/living space, large table, picture window. Satellite TVs, Internet/Wifi, full size washer/dryer. Gated.
Two miles from Interstate 64 - (40 mins. west of Louisville, KY)
In the middle of nowhere, right in the middle of everything! - Hike, bike, boat. Lakes, wineries, historic sites, amusement/waterparks, award-winning golf (8 courses within 35-minutes). Walk the property, enjoy the firepit! Diverse woods, creeks, fields. Wildlife- deer, turkey, fox, and more. We are a perfect spot for the April 2024 total Eclipse (see gallery).
Enjoyable every season! Fun for singles, couples, friends or family.
Beautiful during all times of year! Take care of our place and we'll take care of you. Absolutely no large parties, tobacco free porch/indoors, no firearm shooting and please leave pets at home. Legal use of alcohol permitted - Be Safe.

Beautiful Location!!

Our family really enjoyed the peaceful setting. We walked miles on the country roads and into the woods. The house was wonderful. It had everything we needed. The host was very available. We’d come again!

Fantastic Stay

Our group of 5 had a great stay at this property. The property is huge and we took some great walks just exploring! We saw wild turkeys as we arrived but sadly didn’t see any other wild life. The three bedrooms were perfect size and it was great having the two bathrooms. The house looks like it was recently updated -very nice! The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked dinners in every evening and made breakfast before leaving for the day. Everything we visited was a little drive (not more than 30 minutes) but we didn’t mind. It’s a very beautiful area to visit. Cynthia was great with the communication and very accommodating with my snafu during the reservation process! (Sorry about that). If we ever returned to the area we wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again!

Fantastic property, great location

My group was travelling from the East to visit Holiday World, and this property was perfectly located for us. Just 30 minutes from the park. The property itself was truly a retreat to unwind from an action packed day.

Fantastic Getaway in the middle of the Hoosier National Forest!

The Redgate Retreat was a beautiful place for a quick getaway for our family, giving us a chance to decompress from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Cynthia was a fantastic host with great communication leading up to our stay. Redgate Retreat was clean and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to enjoy meals on site. It is located on a beautiful, quiet property which is off the beaten path, yet with easy access to I64 and area attractions. The house was perfect to accommodate our group of 5. While staying here, we enjoyed a day kayaking with Cave Country Canoes that was just a 25 minute drive away. While you won't find groceries just around the corner, you are within a 20-30 minute drive if something is needed. Smores by the fire pit ended every day of our stay :) If we are ever looking for another getaway close to home, we would definitely consider coming back here. OH, and don't forget!!--Use Cynthia's provided directions to get to the place! Google takes you down the correct road, but not to the correct place! If you use google, you might find yourself turning around on a narrow, winding road 6 times before you remember that Cynthia provided you with fantastic directions on how to find her place! Use her directions, and it is super easy to get to!
