Perched above a large arroyo, this home that rests on 2.7 acres is full of amenities and potential for adventure. Relax in the hot tub on the balcony with million-dollar views, go shopping in enchanting Santa Fe, skiing in the mountains, or ATVing through the desert.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior simply flooded with natural light, thanks to oversized viewing windows and natural wood ceilings with an array of skylights. Make yourself at home by settling on the plush furniture and curling up by the fireplace with a good book, or watching a movie on the large TV. Hobby chefs will love preparing grand meals and on-the-go snacks in the full kitchen, equipped with state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. Another living area resides on the other side of the house with views into the enclosed back yard, equipped with another TV and a wet bar. With four bedrooms, there's more than enough room for everyone to get a comfortable night's rest from the day's activities, and luxurious walk-in showers to bring a relaxing start to your day. Look out over the arroyo and the ever-changing sky from sunrise to sunset, making memories that'll last a lifetime.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great Vacation House

Wonderful location and excellent size for 8 adults! We rented this as our base for ABQ Balloon Fiesta and Santa Fe has lots to see!! Gourmet Kitchen appointed very well and the rooms were very comfortable! Plenty of space for each of us and for all gathering. If you can, bring a telescope!!! Very low light pollution!!!

Amazing place!

We loved our stay here. The house was spotless, the view was beautiful, and the place is much larger than it seems in photos. Drive to town was very short and we were happy to be a bit further out. Loved being in the hot tub looking out at the mountains. Highly recommend!

Great place to hang out

Loved the hot tub, views, and roominess of the house. Felt secluded but was still close to everything we wanted to do. Beds were a bit too firm for me, but still slept all right.

Upon arrival, I called Vacasa to let them know that the hot tub was not heating and I was told that I should have given them 72 hours notice and there is an activation fee. No where is these stipulations listed in the home description. Over all Vacasa was horrible and I will never rent a home using them again.

Beautiful stay in Santa Fe

Our family of four had an amazing experience staying at Home on the Range. The property has a great Santa Fe feel to it and tons of space. The views of sunrise and sunset were breathtaking! We loved the privacy of the house while still being less than 20 minutes from all the great restaurants and historic sites. The only minor items are that the beds are extremely firm and understanding the lighting and how to turn on the microwave took a bit.

Excellent Property

We visit family in Santa Fe somewhat regularly and this property made the most recent trip really comfortable and it was a joy to be there. The house was clean, well furnished, and full of little extras. We had everything we needed and the house was as advertised. Vacasa was responsive for any questions and texted us back immediately. The directions left by the owner were thorough. We will definitely book again.

Santa Fe fun

Beautiful house! Pictures are accurate. Decks are wonderful. One bathroom lacks a door to toilet and shower so it was a little awkward to share with a friend. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent

Inside is even a little better than photos. Great spots to gather and areas inside and out to enjoy solitude. Kitchen was well appointed and included an espresso, keurig and regular coffee pot. Multiple TVs available for large groups. Quiet location to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. Great hot water shower, and all beds and linens quality. Plenty of towels too. I would definitely stay again.

Avoid this property not worth your money

Our stay unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. The home's interior and exterior cleanliness could be improved, and the landscaping wasn't as inviting as we had hoped. The locks seemed less secure than we're used to, and the internet connection was unreliable, which was inconvenient. We were also disappointed to find the jacuzzi unusable. Additionally, the photos didn't accurately reflect the condition of the home. The unpaved roads became a major issue during a rainstorm, leaving our vehicles stuck in the mud despite being all-wheel drive. We hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.

Amazing views and home!

Absolutely stunning home with incredible views all around - the kitchen was decently stocked with quality appliances and dishes, knives, pots and pans, etc. We loved having a keurig and a coffee pot. Fireplace worked great as did the gas grill. The hot tub was relaxing and provided wonderful views. We loved having coffee on a patio and looking at the mountains. Lots of great trails to hike; very quiet and stores/attractions in Santa Fe were at best a 15 minute drive. Recommend grocery shopping at Albertsons, where you can also purchase alcohol. We were very comfortable in every room and never did turn on one of the big TVs or use the bar. The pictures online are accurate of what to expect when you walk in - very clean home, and the bathroom upstairs is insanely huge - the views also incredible from the upstairs bedroom. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Location, Great Views

overall we really liked the property, it was close to downtown, a quick 5 minute drive, but also we enjoyed coming back to enjoy the beautiful mountain and valley views. The house was comfortable with great outdoor areas, and a great big kitchen. it was perfect for a group of 6 friends getting together. We had a problem with the hot tub, it was green and foamy, but we emailed and they sent someone the next day to clean it out. we missed two days of tubbing, but they addressed it right away. The king bed in one of the rooms was pretty uncomfortable, not sure what can be done about that, but the mattress had a big pit in the center. the kitchen was missing a few key items like dishtowels, but otherwise everything else was great. we would stay here again if they fix the king size bed.

Home on the Range.

This was an adult family vacation for 10 days in Santa Fe. We loved the house location (10-15 minutes to everything in Santa Fe). The setting and the views were very nice, giving us a real feel for the local terrain. The decks had beautiful views, but could use more seating when you have a group of 6-8 staying in the home. The home was very clean, nicely furnished, the beds comfortable and bathrooms clean and spacious. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/great room area - very comfortable and nice access to patio and main deck. Big issue, as noted in previous reviews, was electrical issues. Some room lights not working upon arrival - had to find circuit breaker box to fix. One bedroom could not find wall light switch. Turns out it was at the base of the wall behind the door! Refrigerator ice maker not working, dishwasher did a poor job of washing dishes and the dryer too forever to dry a load clothes. Kitchen lights, Main TV and one A/C wall unit kept going off then come back on hours later. (Maintenance could not find the issue day before we left). All these issues did not deter us from enjoying our 10 days at this house. This house could easily be a 5-Star property if the owners would take the time and money to fix all these issues, especially since it has been noted by previous renters.

The Most Terrible Experience in years using VRBO

Apparently, Vacasa is the managing company on this property and others. The property was listed with a hot tub, which it had but was not working. Air conditioning was not working in many of the rooms and the remotes (which was the only way to turn the units on) had no batteries. The water pump was not working and we had no water unless we continually (literally every 5 minutes) went outside to reset the pump. The outside trash can was full and smelled awful. The microwave oven did not work. With all these problems, Vacasa was very difficult to contact and was very unresponsive. After contacting VRBO direct, Vacasa finally responded and moved us to another home, which was wonderful. In summary, if possible, i will never again make a reservation through VRBO or any other rental company if they use Vacasa.

Santa Fe Christmas

The home was a perfect fit for our family. It is a place we would use again. Two minor repairs are suggested: teakettle has a broken lid / upstairs sink stopper is broken. The beds are high off the floor, so chair setting for reading and putting on shoes would be helpful. Improved illumination for reading would be helpful throughout An instruction book for the premises would be helpful. Upon arrival we noticed that the exterior garbage cans had not been emptied. A neighbor told us that the house garbage had not been collected in over 2 weeks--the collectors told her it was because the trash fee hadn't been paid. We called Vacasa and the situation was immediately resolved. The problem may have been due to the property recently having been sold to new owners.

Beware Vacasa Managed Properties

The house is spacious and nicely decorated. The decks offer great views. Unfortunately the AC did not work in the second living room (the one pictured with a large TV and bar) and there is no AC in the 4th bedroom (the one with a queen & twin). Luckily, we only needed three of the four bedrooms because the unairconditioned spaces stayed at about 85 degrees during our July Santa Fe stay. We attempted to contact Vacasa about the AC concerns upon check-in. The first attempt resulted in an unhelpful chatbot response that then terminated the conversation. When I then called Vacasa support I was encouraged to text instead. The text message reply came 45 minutes after my initial message and was not helpful. It suggested only looking for a breaker box to flip a circuit, but the Vacasa support person could not tell us where the breaker box was. We did eventually find it the next day but it did not fix the issue. We ran into a handyman who had come to fix an issue with the screen door (broken/reported by the guests before us). We were not warned someone would be at the house. The handyman told us that the AC was a known issue and they were trying to get the owners to replace it. Further, the house lacked some of the niceties offered by other vacation rental homes managed by homeowners or local staff (vs Vacasa). For instance, there was no "house book" with instructions on things like the AC or restarting the pump, much less helpful recommendations on local restaurants, nearby grocer

Stranded Without Water

Do not recommend!! Home on the Range is a pretty home with some great amenities for a big group, but we had a recurring issue that really ruined our stay. We came home from an errand in town about 24 hours after we checked in, and there was no running water in the house. Toilets wouldn't flush, sinks and showers wouldn't turn on. We contacted the Vacasa folks immediately for assistance, and were told that local property management would be in touch. It was almost 20 hours before we heard anything. In those 20 hours we contacted every water/utilities company in the Santa Fe area at their emergency numbers (this was after normal business hours, on a holiday weekend) all of whom told us "we don't service that area." Nobody could tell us who to call, or how to restore running water to the home. We eventually had to leave the house to use the bathrooms at a coffee shop. We continued to call Vacasa (the phone number routes you to a call center, nowhere near New Mexico), who noted that our emergency issue was still in the queue, but no one contacted us with any assistance. We checked the listing several times for other phone numbers to call, but no luck. Finally, on one of these desperate web searches, we saw a new Notice on the listing that cautioned renters to be advised about the faulty water pump on the property. This Notice was not posted on the listing when we booked. It must have been posted sometime after we had been given our check in instructions, and the message was not r
