About this space
GARDEN SUITE: Cozy 2-room suite in heart of Leelanau. On 1st floor of quaint guest house at Sunset Lodge. Private exterior entrance. Bedroom w/ King bed, bath, small living room w/ kitchenette. Wi-Fi & HD cable TV. NOTE: No A/C or central heat. There are ceiling fans & space heaters.
Grounds overlook Grand Traverse Bay. Wide lawn w/ beautiful lake views. Walk to historic village of Omena. Short drive to Suttons Bay, Northport, Leland; 20 mi. to Sleeping Bear Dunes & Traverse City.
The space
A great place to stay for exploring beautiful Leelanau. Simple, basic, clean.
Garden Suite is on the grounds of historic Sunset Lodge in Omena, overlooking Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay. Private entrance with keypad lock. On 1st floor of guest house built in 1895.
One bedroom w/ King bed. Kitchenette/sitting area. WiFi and HD cable TV. Bathroom has modern fixtures with shower stall. The kitchenette/sitting area has mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, plug-in burner, coffee maker stocked with coffee & teas, dishes, small dining table. East-West windows provide light & fresh air. No A/C or central heat (there are space heaters).
Outdoor common areas: pickleball court, patios and porches, lawn w/ great view of Omena Bay and firepits. Short walk to historic village of Omena with waterside restaurant/bar, tasting room, art gallery, historical museum and public beach.
Ideal base to explore the Leelanau Peninsula. Nearby hiking and biking trails, beaches, rivers for canoeing and fishing, golf, shopping and restaurants, and the magnificent Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
