Hi, I'm Trista! I am one of your hosts. I am an Army Veteran and former defense contractor who spent 12 years as an Intelligence and Counterintelligence Officer specializing in Counterterrorism in the Middle East. I did 3 tours to the Middle East, spending time in Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan. In Iraq 2009 my vehicle was struck by a rocket propelled grenade which instantaneously changed my life. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and severe neck injury which halted my career in operational counterintelligence. Doctors told me I would never work again and would be on prescription pain management for the rest of my life. A few years later I was introduced to The 22 Project, a veteran non-profit, who was instrumental in healing my brain injury. Through healing I was able to work again and began my second career as an artist and vacation rental host. The art you will see in this property is created by me. I hope you love the pieces and my home!
