Great for a quick weekend away
My son and I went skiing at Canaan Valley over a holiday weekend. There's a lot of positives. 1) It was only 15 min drive to the ski resort (2 mins to downtown Davis). 2) Parking was plentiful and next to the unit 3) It was plenty of space for two people 4) We had access to basic cable, the internet worked great, the owner provided linens, towels, and the necessary kitchen supplies. 5) The owner was very communicative and easy to reach.
In general, the loft worked just fine for us. However, it may not be ideal for everyone. 1) The loft ladder is very steep. 2) The kitchen area is motel like. 3) The loft was fairly cold (to be fair it was sub 15 degree weather all weekend) so I found myself in sweats, socks, and a long sleeve shirt inside at all times. All in all, we had a great time and we appreciate our stay at the loft.
