Dangerous neighborhood
The pictures are accurate of the inside and outside of this place, however, make them send you pics of the neighborhood. Before you stay, do a street view. We were there five minutes before noticing plastic streaming from the ceiling. When we opened the blinds, two of the windows had gunshot holes in them and the plastic was inside a gunshot hole in the ceiling. The host offered to give us a refund, but we had nowhere to go. We decided to make the best of it. We were literally inside that house long enough to take in our things and change clothes. We went to river walk and stayed until about 10pm
Four of us went to Walmart to buy a coffee maker and groceries. My mom and step dad went back to the house. While they were there, someone walked behind the fence, cocked a gun and started firing shots and a white car was possibly shooting back. They were sitting outside in the fenced back yard when this was happening. They ran inside, grabbed what they could, waited for shots to stop and when the white car left the area, they ran to their car and left. We didn’t see their calls or texts to us because we were fighting traffic trying to get back. When we got back, they were gone. That’s when we noticed they called and text us 50 times telling us leave our stuff and don’t go back there. The host refunded us partial money, we are out the rest. Had to get a hotel $200 each for 3 of us couples, all groceries ruined and a vacation that went so wrong. Partial refund..is a slap in the face!
