I have rented many MANY vacation homes. This was one of my worst experiences. I found too many to count dead stink bugs on “clean” towels, on the couches, kitchen counters, and even in the bed sheets once we pulled back the covers. Not to mention that I killed at least 20 stink bugs a day that were constantly showing up in the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The outdoor patio furniture had issues. One set of chairs was broken so if anyone sits on them, you’ll get hurt. Another set was extremely rusted and didn’t seem safe to use and hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The outdoor tables were extremely dirty, alone with the outdoor kitchen area which hadn’t been wiped down or cleaned in a very long time (we could write our names in the dirt). The only positive was the hot tub (except that it was set at 105 degrees and had to wait after taking the cover off for it to cool down so we didn’t scald ourselves) and the river. But this is not a relaxing vacation rental. The owners decided to sell the property after we booked the stay and before our rental started, let me know that the game room and all the games were removed from the property. Also they had an Alcatraz prison rule sign in the kitchen which just added to the feeling that we were forced to stay because we wanted to try to make the best out of the situation. I would avoid this rental and guarantee there are better, and cleaner, options on the river.
