Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Centrally located in a beautifully forested drive, this home is exactly what you're looking for. Depending on what season you visit, our home is an easy drive to Mt. St. Helen's, Mt. Rainier, Seattle WA, Portland OR or the Pacific Ocean with it's various beaches.
If it's a work vacation, snowboarding, skiing, fishing, hiking or a relaxing trip away- this is the spot for you. Don't forget to bring your camera and tripod for the night sky when the Milky Way shows off her splendor.
Our cozy 3 bedroom, 2 full bath comes with all the necessities of home. Come pick berries or take a drive on our beautiful country roads. Come to relax or make it your crash pad during skiing or fishing seasons. We are surrounded by Mayfield and Riffe lakes along with some smaller ones. As well as the Newaukum, Chehalis, Skookumchuck and Cowlitz rivers. Whether it's a quiet city escape, a family reunion or a staging area for the various mountain hikes, beach days or other adventures, this is the place for you.

Wonderful stay

We had 10 of us for the weekend. Old to young and a lot to keep kids busy and big enough to kick back and visit. Great place and very nice folks.

We stayed for a couple of days to attend the 90th birthday party for my wife's grandfather. And we also had an early Thanksgiving with them while we were there for the weekend.

Great for people with dogs

We had our very large mastiff with us and the owners were so comfortable with him. Huge yard with off leash options. House was comfy

Our stay was only one night, we had been in Rainer, and were going back early the next morning, and then heading further south. We had a comfortable night. We had met the host on our arrival, who was extremely nice, and enjoyed our conversation.

A quiet place in a rural area perfect for us

We are a group of backpackers headed to Mt. Rainier and this was the perfect place for a good night's sleep, a dinner and breakfast before our journey. We were happy enough to return after exiting the Park wilderness.

Lovely spot in the country

We had a great time, really enjoyed the place. Only comment was that the listing included "hot tub" which, as far as we could tell, was just the bathtub indoors. That was a disappointment.

Attending and Cooking for a small wedding nearby

My husband and I and my brother and his wife stayed at this location. The hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. We did food prep for the wedding we were attending. The host lent us equipment we needed. We were allowed to have a family bbq at the VRBO which was a Centeral location for our family. The owners live in the carport in a recreational vehicle. It is close to the house. They have children. Everyone in the family was cordial. They were gone a lot but when they were their they respected our privacy. We enjoyed the few interactions we had with them. We would 100% stay there again! We liked the location, the quiet area, the cleanliness of the house, and the hosts!

Master bedroom was perfect but other beds not comfortable for adults

We enjoyed our time as a family in the roomy artistically pleasant home with all amenities necessary were available. The only complaint came from our adult children who slept in the secondary rooms. They said their beds were uncomfortable and they were unable to get a good nights sleep. We did not have that experience in The master bedroom.. We slept well.overall a very nice experience.

It was very spacious and peaceful. They supplied us with eggs from their free range chickens which was nice for breakfast. We had a party of 7 with 4 adults and 3 children and we all slept well there. It's also nice having two bathrooms with showers.

Overnight for Polar Express

What a great place. Very clean. Very spacious. Best bed I have slept on ever. Well stocked functioning kitchen. Very comfortable. Well decorated for Christmas. The hosts were amazing. Although we never met face to face, they were so accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. Wonderful homemade cookies. We will come and stay again.

Great Family Home

Very nice place to stay with small children. The hosts were very willing to accommodate us. We got to try farm fresh eggs and fresh cow's milk for breakfast.
