This Summer "cottage" is located in the charming village of Northeast Harbor. Acadia National Park is in extremely close proximity to the house. The harbor is roughly 200 yards away. Built in 1895 by noted Gilded age architect Fred Savage, the house is located directly in the center of town. The house boasts 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms and is bursting with antiques and historic charm. Hardwood floors abound and the house is spread over 3 floors allowing ample privacy for large groups . Guest access The entire house and grounds. Other things to note A private chef is available during the Summer months and some of the Fall months at a discount rate of $200 a night & groceries!!!!
So glad we found this place. Wonderful location for visiting Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. For a whole week, our group of 8 adults and 5 kids all enjoyed the clean, comfortable and spacious - yet somewhat quirky "character" of the home. Handicap folks will need some help managing the steps in and out of the house but there are 2 bedrooms with baths downstairs and laundry too (some exposed electric wires in laundry room should be covered). We had plenty of room in the main house and didn't even use the 2 separate spaces outside. The host was friendly and responsive and we would love to stay again in the future.

Great Vacation
We had a great time at the house. We brought together an extended family group for a week to enjoy Acadia and the house worked out perfectly. It's location is fantastic and it was big enough for our family.

Beautiful Northeast Harbor
This property is on its way to become a beautiful B&B, renovations are almost complete. The large newly renovated kitchen is a plus. The large dining room and living spaces are perfect for large groups. There are many levels and outside entrances to bedrooms rooms that were not seen in the dark when we arrived. A map or information would be helpful. The third floor and its access appear to still be under renovations. The stairs, without handrails, to the third-floor bedrooms were challenging. The host was very prompt in assisting to the special needs that arose with the house. He is also a fabulous guest chef. Our meal was amazing! He and his assistance made a wonderful, memory filled treat for our lovely visit. The beautiful home is perfectly located- just steps out the front door to meals, shopping and treats! Perfectly located for our excursions to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this piece of Maine's history. I think many would love to know more about the property's history. Fondly, The Texas crew!
