Authenticity is the greatest luxury that a visit to Bahia can offer, and being among native families in the heart of old Trancoso provides this experience in a natural way, with style, comfort and sustainable values.

The bright magenta color of the facade was inspired by the oldest bougainvillea in the region, which grows on its roof and shades a rustic picnic table in front of the house.

The airy and vibrant interior is as colorful as the facade of the most spacious 1-bedroom house in Quadrado Histórico. The traditional burnt cement floor has an unusual black color and all rooms offer views of the Quadrado. The house also has a large living room with sofas, an open-plan kitchen with a dining table, a bar and a cozy private garden. There are also two bathrooms, one with a double shower, and a spacious bedroom with a four-poster bed.

Trancoso is a quiet, charming, preserved village, with a young and globalized population. Founded at the beginning of Portuguese colonization by the Jesuits as an indigenous village for the catechization of the Indians with the name of São João dos Indios. A few years ago, it went from being the rustic and isolated village, discovered by hippes in the 70s, to becoming a tourist destination for hipsters and VIPs. Calm is still in the air, but now mixed with the small-town feel.
