No air conditioning
It is obvious that the “owners” do not ever stay at this property themselves. My family (all adults) stayed there for four nights in May of 2024. We are mostly from the Midwest and it was nearly 80 degrees inside the house the last two night. The first couple of nights were cooler. I messaged the host through Vrbo because they did not provide me with a phone number. My stay ended two days ago and I still have gotten no response. They already have my money so they have no reason to care but they could have avoided a bad review. We each slept only a few hours the last night and had a miserable day of traveling home.
The house is spacious and the outdoor area has a lot of potential. The grass had not been mowed in a while and the backyard sprinkler caused a flooding situation on the back patio for most of our second morning. The sprinklers are clearly aimed incorrectly so they soaked the large wooden seating area and pillows that were on it. It seems to be an ongoing problem as the water pooled in one area of the lawn where the grass had died (probably from drowning).
The kitchen was nice for cooking but there were only two forks so we bought more at the Dollar Tree. Palmdale and Lancaster are nearby and have many stores and restaurants to choose from.
Their description says the place can accommodate up to ten people but there are only 4 chairs at the table. The couch is large and uncomfortable with the tv in an awkward spot.
