It is maintained twice a week by a professional Pool Company. Please understand that leaves may fall into the pool at any time during the day, but does not constitute a dirty pool. We have a net that can be used to skim leaves out of the pool during your stay, and please be understanding of this, especially during rain storms when leaves tend to blow around and fall from the trees more than usual but the pool water is clean and maintained. Also if anyone messes with pool settings and valves we will charge 1000.00.

Beautiful place, tons of rooms! Everyone who came to my birthday party kept raving about it and asking “where did you find this place?!?!?”. Amazing house for an amazing weekend. The host was also great with communication and was very helpful and considerate.

Amazing and large mansion for wedding after party!

We rented Chateu Ola for a long weekend so we could host an after party for our wedding and have our visiting family stay there as well. It is an older house and does need some repairs but honestly it was in great shape still. When we got there on Thursday the house was clean and each room had the beds made and towels set for guests. Derek was a wonderful host and was quick to respond whenever we had an issue, we ran out of toilet paper and he had more delivered within a few hours. The pool was even cleaned while we were there and we were able to enjoy it all weekend long. Finally, the master bedroom was the best bridal suite for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and glad we found Chateu ola for our wedding!

50th Birthday Bash

This place is huge and has plenty of rooms. Needs a little TLC, but Derek the owner is very cooperative. If I made a request, he made it happen. My 50th birthday party was amazing. I was able to put up all the decorations I wanted, giving it a special touch, making it my own for our stay. I would definitely come back again!

Men’s Golf Trip

Do not recommend this property. The moment I pulled up to the house I regretted not researching thoroughly. It was NOT as described, the house needs a major overhaul inside and out We had to call in a cleaning crew Half the lights did not work, bath handles falling off bathtubs not draining, open door in master and the curtains fell on me. Hot tub doesn’t work pool was dirty and full of leaves outdoor furniture was disgusting. .luckily it was a guys trip and we made the best of it, no way I’d bring my family to this house

Disappointed Buddy Golf Trip

Golf trip with 12 buddies. First time attempting to all stay together and we were so excited. Unfortunately the property was extremely disappointing, all surfaces were dirty, toilets malfunctioned, pool was dirty without heat, and hot tube nonfunctioning! All the amenities we hoped for were miss represented. Even the pool cues and ping ping table were broken! Property need some major TLC and ungraded.

Very responsive and accommodating

Derek was great in helping to ensure we had a smooth experience. He responded to all inquiries in a very timely manner and even offered to come to the property on a Friday evening to help us with the jacuzzi. Highly recommend staying here.

Wedding Ceremony & Celebration

Great old Florida house for our little event. Guests enjoyed pool table, ping pong, games, etc. was just right for us. Nice that bedrooms are both upstairs and downstairs and spread out. Suggest pressure washing outside that would make a nice difference. Its a lotta house to take care of. I get that!

Unveiling deception

The pictures on the site are probably from 30 years ago . The landscaping is mostly overgrown and not taken care of at all . When we arrived there was broken beer and alcohol bottles everywhere. Trash is thrown about in all the landscaping areas . The outdoor furniture is barely usable. One of the chairs by the pool wasn’t broken . There were even beer cans in the filter inlets for the pool . The listing says the heater in the pool doesn’t work but the pool is wasn’t even usable . It was dirty the first day we arrived . Yes someone did come out and poorly attempted to clean the pool . Put chlorine in the floater but didn’t even test the water . Yes leaves were in the pool which can’t be helped but the green tint on the sides was most concerning . Pool had a major leak and the pump filter doesn’t clean anything. The WiFi didn’t work . After several days the cable company came and replaced the box . Owner stated it was a cable company outage . With most the wires and boxes half hazardous hanging off the wall it’s not a wonder it didn’t work . There is only one refrigerator which is not enough for so many people in the house . Almost every bathroom had a plumbing issue . Couldn’t cut water on , tub slow to drain , toilet leaking , had to cut water on with vice grips .Bees in the wall in front bedroom . Railing in upstairs patio is a major hazard . One bed was held up with books underneath it . Host is communicative but pretends not to know about some of the issues read reviews

Good bachelor party spot

We stayed at this house for my brothers bachelor party. This house has seen better days and it’s evident that there is little upkeep to this house. Pool was freezing so we couldn’t use that we asked the host about how to turn in the heater but he never responded for that. The fridge had the handle ripped off and the kitchen was in pretty bad shape. We never cooked just ordered out but noticed there wasn’t that many cooking utensils if you wanted to cook. A lot of the tiles were loose in the dining room which indicated some hurricane damage or just broken down from years of parties there. The master bedroom bathroom was outdated and not clean and the shower had many cracked tiles and leaks from the shower hoses. Other showers in the house had similar issues but everything was functional. HVAC in house was weird some rooms were were warm where others were meat lockers. All in all it was clean enough to sleep at and hang out in for a group of guys but I would never bring a family here as it had very few working amenities and the overall upkeep of the place could have been better..

Honest review, week stay

I would like to start my honest review by saying the home is beautiful and we made the best of our week stay. My husband & I rented this as a venue for our wedding and to spend the week with our closest family & friends. I would also like to say that I believe most other bad reviews are a bit dramatic, but overall I could understand the frustration. Upon arrival there was probably 15-20 trash bags piled in the back driveway, the cleaning crew had ran late & left out many supplies. I reached out to the owner, Derek & he arrived within 30 minutes with towels, put away anything that was left out & grabbed all of the trash. We were very happy with how quick he responded & how friendly he was when we needed to reach out. The house was also VERY dirty. It needs a MAJOR deep clean. We had to sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe counters & many other things before we could even think about unpacking to begin set up for a wedding. The mop water was black and disgusting. The bathrooms especially were very nasty. The place really also needs some major maintenance. Most of the bedrooms did not have working tvs, they were either missing power cords or remotes. Some lights in the rooms did not work. The big jet tub in the master did not work. The dock definitely needs to be replaced or heavily worked on. The top is boarded off & what you can step on is pretty dry rotted itself. Overall, we had a fantastic stay & as I said, made the best of our week. The issues were nothing a little TLC couldn‘t handle

SCAM- PROPERTY NOT AS PICTURED

Stayed here for our wedding weekend. cleaning had not been completed and our bridal party had to help clean the property before our guests started arriving for reherasal dinner. Down stairs bedrooms did not have working AC, no air flow and no ceiling fans, our guests had to book a hotel room elsewhere. The host refused to issue a refund to cover the amount that they spent to stay and lied to VRBO sending them a working thermostat picture from a different area of the house. Here is a list of other issues with the properties our guests complied: . dirty dishes left in sink Old food in the fridge and microwave Toilets had not been flushed and had feces in them Trash left in the bedrooms Sheets & towels not changed Floors not mopped – one of our guest had to mop the floors before our family start arriving for dinner - Beer cans left around the property The vents were dirty with mold The ground and foundation had several cracks throughout the house where tiles were broken and floors were trip hazards. The boat ramp and dock was a safety hazard, broken and missing supporting beams Light bulbs were out and missing Drywall cut outs and exposed wires in bathrooms near water supply’s posing electrical hazards Dirty linens Pool not cleaned had growth in water The upstairs bathroom has a mat covering exposed subfloor- fall danger Cabinets and fridge handles falling off Broken blinds Doors would shut due to water damage guest from next stay allowed to set up before we checked out

So this property sadly wasn’t close to what they said it would be according the pictures. This is not in the best of neighborhoods. The experience that sticks out the most is that I rented this for my wedding. The home was very hard to ever get cooled down. But this was the very of smallest issues as we dove into this property. Lights not working, toilets without toilet seats, water leaking from ceilings when showers were ran upstairs, ants all over the kitchen counters, dirty ceiling fans, dirty everything. I had to call the owner straight away and have his cleaning folks come out. It helped some. Beer cans all over the backyard and around the pool. Showers not working in the master shower, surfaces were dirty, like doors, door handles, and bathrooms. Dirty clothes were left in the dryer. Honestly though we made it work the best we could. I am so disappointed though that this old beautiful home has been so neglected. I will say the property manager is very nice. Now we come to the part of the review I hope people pay attention to. This is Florida and we get heavy rain. Having brick steps proved to not be good on this house in this case. The night before my wedding as it was raining, I stepped out to go to dinner, and needless to say when I slipped on the brick steps that really should have grip on them I SLIPPED! 3 broken vertebrae later and a bruised left lung it was icing on the cake for a house that needs desperate help. Watch your step if you decide to rent.

Terrible experience, looking for refund

Driving into the house the place didn’t look anything like the photos on vrbo. The front steps were dilapidated. The front door wasn’t securely connected. Entering the code only opened up new disappointments. The house AC was not turned on and very hot although I was told previous house guests just left hours before. The first room was the kitchen. Looking at the refrigerator the handle was broken and laying half on the ground for the freezer. Opening the door to the fridge, the light inside did not work. That was only the beginning, half of the lights didn’t work in the house. Not because the light switches but because the light bulbs were burned out. One light above the refrigerator wasn’t even installed and another ceiling can light had an outdoor flood light that didn’t even fit, it was Strobing like it was a night club. Going through the house even more disappointment set in. Light switches didn’t work, lights didn’t work. The upstairs hallway had three lights. Only one of the three even worked. After fining the AC controls we turned them one. The bathrooms had mold in the bathtubs, caulking around the tubs was missing and looked terrible. The dining room had mold on the walls and cracks in the walls. The pool area was covered with leaves, leaves floating in the pool and leaves on the bottom of the pool. I called the host detek to ask about these problems. He started screaming at me, called me a fagoot, and said he was coming to kick my ass!! We left and filed complaint
