Escape to this newly renovated 4-bedroom two floor unit (2nd and 3rd Floor) nestled peacefully just 500 ft from the bay. Enjoy stunning sunset views from your front deck or relax on the covered back deck with outdoor dining and grill. House is four blocks to the beach. Cozy up around the backyard fire pit for memorable evenings. Perfect for family getaways.

House size is great and wonderfully decorated for the beach, some small amenities provided although not many. However, the overall cleanliness upon arrival was below expectations when you pay 260 for a cleaning fee (and compared to other places we have stayed thru VRBO). AC units were extremely moldy, dog hair covered the couches, chairs, and rugs, and ceiling fans all had severe caked on dust. The floors made our socks black. We spent a few hours cleaning, vacuuming, giving the floors a good mopping, and the AC units were replaced within a day, and cleaners sent for the fans. Overall, good location, ice cream nearby, fishing pier close, and beach not too far, but having to clean so much when you arrive on a vacation was disappointing.

Great house but needs serious cleaning

We had a fantastic 4th of July week and truly loved the location and layout of the home. The proximity to the beach, access to nearby restaurants, and the use of the shed for the beach cart were all highlights that made our stay more enjoyable. That said, we also have some honest feedback regarding the condition of the property—specifically the cleanliness. Unfortunately, the home was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. The floors were visibly dirty, and there was a significant amount of dust on the fans and in various areas throughout the house. Most concerning of all, my father discovered two used condoms inside the bedside table in the room with the queen bed. Understandably, that was extremely upsetting and unsanitary.While we recognize a beach house may have some sand or wear between guests, this went well beyond what is reasonable. We strongly encourage you to consider hiring a new cleaning service, as this experience would prevent us from recommending the property to others or considering a future stay ourselves.Separately, we also wanted to offer a few suggestions that could enhance the guest experience if you’re open to updates in the future:•Adding blackout curtains or heavier window coverings to better block morning light.•Including a few more full-length mirrors in the bedrooms or common areas, as the current setup made it difficult for multiple guests to get ready comfortably at the same time.

Labor Day down the shore

Our group had a great stay in this Wildwood Crest house. We had a lot of space to spread out in the common rooms and kitchen. We ultimately had 9 people in the house, but the listing said the house would sleep 12. If we had come with our full group of 12 there would not be have been beds for everyone. 10 is the maximum number of adults you can sleep in this house. If you plan to cook, there are really no spices, extra cooking materials in the house, so plan to bring absolutely everything yourself. We should have expected that since we knew linens were not provided and brought our own from home. It's a nice walkable neighborhood with families, and you can easily get to the beach or town from the location. We mostly drove to town and the beach, but you could walk if you wanted to. Our host Claudia was really communicative and helpful throughout the booking process and weekend when we needed her. Good experience overall.
