Land Haus has air conditioning and room darkening window coveringsfor the midnight sun.In winter, the windows provide solar gain andwarmth is provided by the geothermal system and the cozy wood stove will make your stay a true retreat.
Bathrooms are supplied with locally made shampoo, conditioner andbody wash, plush and waffle towels,bathrobes and hairdryers and a few smaller toiletries, if needed.
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a professional gas cooktop and downdraft fan,dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster, air fryer, rice cooker, blender, brita filter, dripcoffee maker, french press, coffee grinder and milk frother. For serious cooks, the kitchen island is equipped with many extras. Awell situated covered deck for viewing sunrises with your morning coffee is a favouriteand a perfect spot for watching northern lights. There are two fire pits; one by the house with a picnic table, great for keeping warm while thenorthern lights appear, and one by the riverbank. Many of the locals and tour operators watch for the aurora borealis from Burma Road as it is a prime spot.
Your host, Angela resides in a fully separate apartment downstairs with its ownprivate parking and entrance. Besides tending to the animals orgarden, you will not know she is onsite. Respecting our guest's privacy is a priority but we are alwaysavailable by phone or SMS if you have any questions or concerns. And if you'd like to say hello, Angela would love to meet you while she's walking her dogs, with her horses or in the garden or greenhouses!

Land Haus is situated on 100 acres surrounded by boreal forest, pasture withnative flora, walking trails and the Yukon River,a spectacular partof the location. The end ofBurma Road is a local spot to start or conclude your river trip.The back eddy provides a safe place to jump in if you dare!Beavers are frequently seen as their lodge is one kilometre upstream, and it's a great spot for watching the annualYukon River Questcompetitors paddle by. Foxes, coyote, moose and wolf frequent the area and you may be lucky enough to see them!
Land Haus is located25 minutes from Whitehorse city centre and Erik Nielsen Airport, and 15 minutes from Eclipse Nordic Hotsprings,Bean North Coffee Roaster and Café in the Woods, theYukon Wildlife Preserveand nearby Forest Preserve which has great marked hikes.Takhini gas station, 12 km away, carries snacks, essentials, locally baked goods, and off sales alcohol. Tum Tum's Meats at the same location has a large variety of organically produced local meats. Check our guest book for hours and other local information.
