There is a common area at the top of the stairs on the second floor where guests are encouraged to hang out. Complementary coffee and treats when available.

Located in a secluded and secure area that is only a 7 minute drive to Playa Negra and Hotel Banana Azul (guests have exclusive access to their beach club).

It is a 12 minute drive Puerto Viejo town center which has many bars, restaurants, shops and grocery stores.

The studio is located on the second floor. You are welcome to either a private check in or a personal check in. Parking is available on site.

We are respectful of your privacy, but will be available if/when you need us. We have plenty of recommendations and suggestions to share so that you get maximum enjoyment out of your trip! Just ask!

Jungle, Jungle, Jungle... lost of birds/animals, walking trails, privacy and peace. You will feel washed of any worry with the sun shining through the green leaves of this area. You will see many new rentals/homes in the Black Beach area. This neighborhood is being called the "Beverly Hills of Puerto Viejo" a new upcoming, popular area. The Black Sand beach and hotel/beach club "Banana Azul" is a short 7 min drive around 3 miles or 2km. Their beach club, convenient store (Great espresso/cappuccino, local/hand made baked goods/food/ice-cream/yogurt/Argentine cookies and hot food when available), information desk, restaurant and beach bar is available for our guests. The black sand is hot in mid day so bring sandals, the sand has magnetic qualities which many health experts recommend for balancing your energies.

If you have a car, quad, or golf cart its easy. We have reasonable priced taxies which work for the hotel at your disposal. My husband and I lived on the property in a bamboo shack we made ourselves when we first bought the lot 7 years ago. We would bike or walk in and out to Puerto Viejo town and farther. Their are collective taxi's that will take you to Bri Bri and other areas for 500/1000 colones ($1-$2). There is a walking path to the main highway 5min walk through the Jungle. We can also arrange to pick you up/drop you off at bus station in town when we are available.

There is private parking suitable for any of your vehicle needs. The rooms are equipped for short or long term stays.

There is an outdoor shower by the main entrance. Please rinse off all sand from the beach before going to your room.
