Disappointing edging on awful
This was our 12th villa rental in st Barts .. starting in the early 80's and this was by far our worst villa . This villa may work for younger fitter ( preferably hard of hearing ) guests but for older more seasoned travelers .. OUCH ! . The villa is directly on a major road with noise levels such that almost impossible to have a conversation . The "view " is of a large tree . The villa layout is broken into 2 separate rooms with no common door ... must move a very heavy hurricane door , step outside and the open /close another hurricane door : expect broken fingernails and slammed fingers . This villa has NO LIVING ROOM ... A very large table which appears to be a conference table takes up the entire space with a small couch on one end that stares directly at a table edge . No television in this room only an pol iPod . we have dining seating for 16 ( as there is another large picnic table just outside ) but no place to lounge . When the noise or sun was too much we had to retreat to the bedroom ( great bed but no chairs or bench ) Once at the villa we had to negotiate a 75 meter walk up a 45% steep grade sometimes carrying packages . Unfortunately we had problems with the wifi for 10 days ( area issue ) and had to pay at local resorts to use their internet . Also we were unaware that the pool is single depth to over 5 ft with only a rickety ladder ... we purchased weighted stands to place in the pool for my wife to step on , only way could use the pool .
