My husband, our teenaged daughter and I stayed in the main house of this property. It is an AMAZING house! Suzanne is an artist and it shows in her house from her paintings of Hawaii hanging on the walls to the beauty of the house itself. The pool and hot tub are well designed and maintained and just the right size. The lanai has a bar, a bbq, ping pong and lots of leisure space. The house is open air so it is very spacious and light and the woodwork inside the house is gorgeous. The 2 main bedrooms have air units, making it very comfortable for sleep. There are 2 twin beds tucked away in an attic type space but no air for these. We didn't use them but someone who has small kids could utilize them. The kitchen is well stocked and open to the great room so easy for making meals together. The house is clean and very comfortable. The main bedroom is upstairs and the 2nd bedroom downstairs. Both have their own bathroom. A plus is the parking allocated for the main house so we never had to worry about that! Her 2 cats come and go and our daughter enjoyed feeding them and the koi fish in the pond in front of the house. We enjoyed this house so much we opted to stay several days and just relax there.
The one thing people who stay here should be aware of is that this house may have other renters on property at the same time you are there since she has the house set up with multiple units. It is done well in that each has it's own entrance and private space. However, it means you share the common space of the backyard (pool and hot tub) and laundry room. Suzanne was very clear about this to us so it was not a surprise. We actually enjoyed our neighbors as much as the house. This house is in a very quiet neighborhood so it is important to respect the noise level of the neighborhood.
The location for this house is ideal, just minutes in a car to both Lanikai and Kailua Beaches, as well as downtown Kailua. You can actually walk to both as well but that can be hard with all the beach gear. She also has bikes on property, as well as various coolers, beach towels, chairs & umbrellas and boogie boards.
We will definitely look forward to a repeat visit to Suzanne's house. We feel blessed to have spent time there.
