We have lived in southern California for many years and fell in love with Paso Robles 12 years ago while visiting friends who were planting a vineyard. We purchased a vacation home shortly thereafter and got to know the area very well. We have both travelled extensively through Europe, Asia, and north and south of the United States and the more we travelled, the more convinced we became that we had discovered a real jewel of a place and now that is where we will retire. We planted 350 olive trees and some cab grapes and now produce our own olive oil and cabernet sauvignon. Our 5 grown kids love to come up and wine taste at the local vineyards, hike around the 40 acres, take part in the numerous local events, mountain bike, dirt bike and gaze at the incredible array of stars at night. It is a spectacular place to relax with your family and friends or just have a quiet couples' weekend.
