Stay in a (youth) hostel in Samara when we were expecting a luxurious condo
Following our experience with VRBO and Pura Vida Appartment, it appeared that some problems occured, mainly based on a wrong presentation of the actual situation. We made a reservation there through VRBO early in January 2024, which showed a magnificient place, three bedrooms, wonderfull environment, very nice photos of a modern looking construction... Let see 'step by step' the tale of this experience...
-First, we proceed to the reservation with a credit card, which (to our great astonishment !) was immediately charged ! Nearly three months before the trip, which is obviously an inappropriate way to conduct fair business. Why VRBO tolerate this kind of very questionable practice ?...
First problem noticed even before getting there.
-Second: Instructions to get there... What a 'big mess' to find the place. Indications were simply totally confusing, so much that it tooks like nearly two hours to find the place in Samara, despite it's a fairly small town... The annoncement in VRBO mentioned Pura Vida Appartments, a place that was impossible to find, even with the best GPS tools !
In fact, this appartment was located directly in downtown at the 'Blue Iguana Hotel' (a name that never appeared anywhere in the indications!) Why ?... It would have been so much easier to mention the Blue Iguana, a well known place, easy to find !...
-Third: After almost two long hours a local helped us to find it...
