Property Owner was RUDE
We stayed at the property for a ski trip with a group of friends. We are in our late 30's, early 40's and professionals. While the property was as seen in photos, older home but had ample space, the mattresses were all very uncomfortable and very old. There was hair on the sheets in multiple bedrooms.
Lastly, I will mention the property owner was very weird. You check-in at Killington Associates in person, they were nice however upon check-in they mentioned that the owner tends to stop by to say hello. I asked if they knew when and they said he'll just stop by he lives around the corner and likes to greet his guests. I have rented properties my self so thought ok, weird I never go to the rentals when booked, but I dont mind talking to them. We arrived at the property and a couple hours passed and the owner never came by. There was an addition to the house (not shown in photos) with a separate entrance that was connected to the main home (where we stayed. There was a light on, so I called the realty and asked if he lived in the addition I would just say hello if I saw him. They would not confirm. The following evening, after dinner time, one of my friends was outside smoking and the owner came over intoxicated and slurry his words and raised his voice at her about the cars in the driveway. He proceeded to ask if she spoke english. .This was Saturday night of our stay. I found it very odd we had been there 2 days and he decided to come over Saturday evening, and his tone completely ruined our last night. My husband spoke with him for over a hour and he calmed down and was nicer in the end. We went to bed shortly after. We left the property Sunday clean and respectful. I would not recommend this property and found it very misleading that no one told us the property owner lives in the same primary residence (in the addition) as the VRBO rental.
