Misleading listing, overall good stay
The listing was incredibly misleading. The original listing had the address as a Pod hotel in Hell’s Kitchen on 42nd st, when the real VRBO was an apartment in Harlem on 119th st. The property also was listed as having a gym, when I asked the host about the gym he told me “planet fitness is down the street.”The actual property was (for the most part) comfortable and clean, the bed was well made and comfortable, the kitchen was complete with pots, pans, and cutlery, and the bathroom was very comfortable. The property had many things that were falling apart and not well maintained such as the curtain rod hangers which were falling out of the wall, the desk in the hallway that would fall over if a feather was laid upon it, and flickering lights in almost every fixture. The mirror in the bathroom was cracked and the makeup light did not work, and the deadbolt had been removed from apartment’s door and replaced with duck tape. My girlfriend and I had an overall pleasant stay at the vrbo, but think that it was too expensive for the misleading location, could use some general housekeeping/ a visit to the hardware store, and a more concise and accurate description on vrbo.
