We had the best family vacation in years while we were there. The owner, Marijane, made sure we were able to get in to the house without any issues. The whole neighborhood was very family friendly and the house is beautiful. The kids loved the bunk beds and the pool, the adults loved the grill , and of course we all loved the proximity to the beach. The beach is walking distance from the back pool gate and the water is gorgeous. The beach itself of course was the main attraction for us, but the house is so perfect that we could have spent our whole vacation inside. We had a couple of rainy days and when it rained we were able to spend family time in the big living room and the kitchen. The kids holed up in the basement game room during the rainy days and watched movies and they said it was fun. The beds are very comfortable and all of the rooms except for the kids room had individual bathrooms with walk in showers (great after a sandy day). The rooms were also immaculate when we got there, I was impressed. There was plenty of storage for all of our stuff and the fridge held all of our food for the week AND THEN SOME. If you have a lot of people to feed though, there's another fridge in the basement that is also very big.
In terms of activities to do other than the beaches, we took the kids to Pier Park. It's a nearby outdoor mall, and I'd highly recommend it. There's a movie theater and a bunch of beach shops and restaurants. Also, you can rent bikes from the owner if you talk to her. I would do this because the house is very close to Scenic Highway 30A and all of the cute small towns that are along that road. We took a bike trip over to Watersound beach, it was about a 2 hour ride. If your kids are small and you don't want to go out that way, they will still be able to bike to Rosemary beach, which is only a 10 minute bike ride. There's a candy shop there that the kids will get trapped in for hours, but there is also a local coffee shop there that is definitely worth the bike ride. There are other activities too that we didn't do but we heard people did, the people staying two houses down from us took a ferry boat to shell Island. They said there was snorkeling there, probably worth checking out.
I know that this is a long review but there was so much to rave about!! We will definitely be back next year and I just had to let people know about this gem. Inlet Beach is my family's new vacation tradition.
