Needs numerous updates...
If you're looking for a no to little frills rental and don't mind staying in a rental property that is little more than a hunting camp, then look no further as you've found the place for you.
However, if you're looking for an updated, nice property for you and your family and friends to relax within, then this is probably not the place for you. This rental property, although probably very, very nice at one point in time years ago, is in need of major updates in numerous ways. The first issue, which is obviously advertised on the website, is that there isn't any air conditioning. We nicknamed one of the upstairs bedroom the "lava room" as it peaked around 100 degrees on a warmer day. A fan can only do so much. There are many other needed updates, which included the windows that were completely broken and had curtains falling off, screen doors that didn't shut, holes in some screens, standing water in the upstairs shower when you shower, faucets very difficult to turn on and off, and pots and pans that were almost unusable. The lamps are also extremely old, which would be ok if we could have found a smoke detector in case one went up in flames. The place in general could have been cleaner, but wasn't totally filthy. We found garbage of a questionable nature in one of the upstairs bedrooms so obviously the cleaning staff didn't thoroughly vacuum. The downstairs shower leaks water all over the floor when you shower.
They say to shut the downstairs bedroom windows if it rains because it rains in, yet the crank to close them is completely broken. One of us had to get up at 2 am to shut the windows when it was raining and had to take the screens out of the windows to pull them shut by hand.
Another issue is that it is advertised as a three bathroom house. It isn't-one bathroom has a toilet, sink, and tub ONLY, and then the other bathroom downstairs has a toilet, sink, and shower. So, two and a half baths is more accurate.
The grill was left completely filthy and in the middle of the yard. The grass also needed cut badly, which the owner showed up to do on the last day while we were still there. She let us know that she was coming via email, and pretty much asked us to leave early--this was after we booked and were asked, after booking, to cut our stay a day short already because they had another booking that needed to come in early.
