Great location! View from this condo is spectacular. Accommodated our family of 6. The condo itself could use an update. The pantry is small and leaves little room to store food. The shower in the second room is very small. Overall, would stay here again as the views are priceless!

Great location but several things broken in condo and overall not that clean.

We stayed here last year and the condo was immaculate. This year the trim was torn off the microwave, the back of the couch was broken and the carpet was dirty. It felt like someone trashed the condo and it hadn’t been fully restored. We were disappointed—I’m not sure we will stay here again.

Unit could use some updating. There is a wooden board between mattress and box spring of king bed. The paint and furniture as well as showers are worn, however can’t beat the location or view. It’s very convenient to parking, elevator, beach and pool as well as a biking/walking distance to the general store and bike/kayak rentals. It also has easy access to shelter cove. Up on entry the unit was fairly clean. Because of the virus we were extra vigilant making sure frequently touched surfaces were clean. We found crumbs on scattered on the counter and leftover food in refrigerator. Dishes were put away soaking wet from dishwasher. Dining chairs needed cleaned. The dryer did not work very well. We called the rental company, they promptly sent a repair person, however it still took several cycles to dry towels. The rental company never checked to see if it was repaired. The living room sliding door is very difficult to open and close but there was access from bedroom. Overall it was an okayplacetostay

The location is great, Island Getaway was easy and accommodating to work with but this was our 4th trip to the island and the building and unit were very disappointing. Unit was dirty, multiple maintenance issues (light bulbs burnt out, closet doors broken, vents hanging from ceiling, paint chipped, hole in tile, door handle hanging and more...). The building overall was clean and maintained but the pool was closed multiple days during our stay for maintenance and when open was so cloudy you couldn’t see the bottom. We will come back to HHI and use Island Getaway but will not stay at the Villamare again, it definitely wasn’t worth the cost.

The villa is situated in the perfect location. It is close to the grills, pool, and beach access. The ocean views were outstanding. We loved the big picture window in the living area! The Palmetto Dunes area is amazing for bike riding, kayaking, and tennis! About the unit-it is well overdue for updating. Paint is chipping all over the place, including the big picture window! Both bathrooms are in need of a major overhaul....the showers were gross. The kitchen was nice with updated appliances...they did have to take a closet door off the laundry closet to fit the washer and dryer and it looks unappealing. There were no cupboards to store our groceries at all. There was a random assortment of dishes and flatware. There were crumbs all through the flatware drawer. The couch and swivel chairs were comfy. The arms of the chairs were very dirty-gross to look at. The price paid for this run down unit is disappointing. Sliding doors hard to open and close. The view and beach made up for it!!!

We had a wonderful time once again at Hilton head. Our view was fabulous. Complex was clean and easy access to the beach. The only issue was the sitting area furniture was not comfortable. And couch was small. Otherwise the condo was nice.

The location and views were all fabulous and we enjoyed our stay however the condo is in need of many updates. The carpet throughout this unit is filthy and should be replaced. Additionally all the metal piping in bathrooms and kitchen are rusting and appliances should be updated, including shower head and hose. Overall we had a wonderful time. The Chasse Family

Location and the grounds are beautiful. Pool beautiful and clean. Room had very old appliances. Dryer took 3 full cycles to dry 2 towels. Can’t put plate in microwave because the door doesn’t open enough. Coffee maker didn’t work, but it was replaced with a new one the next day. Ice maker in frig doesn’t work. All in all, the condo needs a complete makeover. Again, the grounds and pool are great!!

We enjoyed the property and the view from our balcony. The gerdens were tropical and well maintained,the beach was spectacular, the best we have experienced. The unit itself was disapointing, the unit looked like it was being prepared for painting with plaster patches evident throughout.The kitchen had no room to store groceries and the cutlery and dishes looked like they had been cobled from a garage sale.The whole interior needs updating, and takes away from the overall experience.

Great proximity to ocean! Wonderful view from balcony. Comfortable beds and updated flooring throughout unit. The grounds and pool area are well- kept and beautiful. However, for the $$$ value, the interiors still need a little updating. In the second bedroom there is no wall separating beds & bathroom for privacy. The tub literally sits right next to a bed. The shower in that bedroom is extra small and difficult for an adult to fit into. The washer/dryer unit is outdated and very tiny. Not much fits in the washer and the dryer required extra time to dry even a small load of laundry. Also, the louvered doors to the laundry area are rickety and one fell off track the first time we opened it. The vent cover was missing on the microwave. All three sliding doors to the patio areas were “rough” to open. Parking in the garage area was tight and difficult to maneuver in. However, despite the critique, we had a wonderful vacation and would re-visit Villamare, but perhaps in a different unit next time.

Great ocean view, the turtles & frogs were amazing to feed & watch. Great location to the General Store & entrance. The unit itself was very disappointing ... if you’re obese or claustrophobic do not get in the shower in the 2nd bedroom!!

Outstanding view. Access to pool and beach is quite easy. Nothing to complain about as far as the unit is concerned. Only issue was the pool. Not as clean as would have liked. Overall this is a great property for a family beach vacation.
