Great property

Thanksgiving in Montreat

Our family of 8 loved staying at Treetop Treasure to celebrate our Thanksgiving weekend together! The home was perfect for us and well appointed with everything we needed… lots of room on decks to enjoy the beauty of the mountains! Great communication with host, too!

Excellent Property

The setting was beautiful in spite of the rain. The house was very comfortable and met of all our needs.... beds, bedding, TV, kitchen supplies, bathrooms. From time to time, we relaxed on both decks. Over all, we had an enjoyable mini-family reunion. Hope to rent the property next year! Sylvia

Great stay!

This cabin was well appointed, and the communication with the owners was perfect. The outdoor spaces are amazing and ample, and it sleeps six adults comfortably, plus the loft and two small bunks for additional children. Would absolutely stay again!

Fantastic getaway

We stayed here on a rainy weekend and it was a perfect getaway. They had everything we needed plus lots of little extra touches to make it feel like home. Beds are super comfy and the kids rooms and sleeping porch were huge hits with the kids. The hosts were super responsive, friendly and helpful. We’d go back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic!

This house was perfect for us. Daddy - daughter weekend trip to Black Mountain. Super comfortable for our group of 8. The 4 ten year old girls loved sleeping in the loft. Will consider again for next year.

Conference Housing

Treetop Treasure is a charming comfortable cottage. The owner provided many welcoming and friendly touches. There are two wonderful porches for coffee, relaxing, thinking, and conversation. The porches are the star of the cottage. Once inside the cottage or on the porch, it's easy to forget the cares of the "outside world." There are numerous steps, inside and outside, so if one has accessibility issues this may be a problem. The directions to the driveway need to be revised. Coming into Montreat on Assembly Drive, turn right onto Louisiana. At the 4 way stop sign of Lousianna and Virginia, turn right onto Virgina, and follow Virginia up around the hairpin turn. As soon as going around the turn look for gravel drive on left hand side. There is a green metal trash box and small black street address sign: 208 Virginia Rd. Turn left into driveway and proceed to end of the gavel drive.

Absolutely wonderful stay in the trees

We adore old things and this place is antique in almost every sense! It has so many books and crannies that are cozy, it was a joy to explore! The porches were perfect, everything was available in the little kitchen, the beds were great, my teen loved the loft, the decor was delightful! We had a nice walk around Black Mtn~ great shopping! ~ and the neighborhood! Dozens of precious moments…. If you don’t need sleek and modern, love history and old school family time, this is the place for you!

Awesome porches!

We did not want to leave! We spent most of our time outside on the porches! My seven year old granddaughter loved the bunk beds under the staircase as well as the loft. The screened in area with twin bed is charming. So peaceful and relaxing.

Great stay

Treetop Treasure was all we expected and more! It is an easy walk (~.6 mi.) to Anderson Auditorium. There are plenty areas to be together and places to be alone. We loved the porches. Our 14 year old liked the attic loft. We felt at home in this cozy, "well loved" house. We would like to stay here again.

Special cabin up high

We loved this sweet place! There were so many details for our comfort and enjoyment. Truly a special place and can't wait to go back! I especially loved the "breakfast bar" with all the coffee and foods for us!

Classic & cozy 1920s Montreat cabin

Gorgeous treetop views in this cozy old cabin. our kids especially loved the sleeping porch and bunk beds under the stairs. Probably best for kids 4 or 5+ because of the stairs and all the fragile decorations. caught little trout in flat creek nearby. Loved eating in nearby Black Mountain, especially cuban cousins and open oven.

Fun Family Home in Montreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this beautiful vintage home that's so fun for families! I only wished we had stayed here back when our "kids" were younger. There's a cool loft that's perfect for kids and teens and also many different rooms where guests can gather or have privacy, if they choose. There's even a secret bunk room that's a dream come true for smaller kids. So many clever ideas here, while keeping the integrity of the original home's design! I personally spent all my time relaxing on the upper deck swing and having a bird's eye view of the treetops. The lower deck is adjacent to the kitchen and convenient for coffee or an outside meal. There are stairs to access the kitchen, so that may be an issue for those with mobility issues. All in all, a most relaxing Montreat cottage! Thanks for allowing us to experience it!

Great little stay in the mountains

If you enjoy the quiet nestled in the mountains then this is the place for you. If you like the outdoors then this is a great location.Hiking, walking trails,etc.

Cozy and comfortable

We had an awesome time at our annual girls weekend. :) The cottage is so cute and cozy. If it hadn't been so cold and snowy, we would have spent the entire time on the enormous porches!! We had a lovely walks into Montreat and Black Mountain. Beds are super comfortable. The size was perfect for 5 adults. It might get a little tight with a larger group. The owner is very responsive. We highly recommend staying here!

Montreat Magic

Loved all the different nooks to sleep and hang out inside and out in this home. A perfect stay for a big group in beautiful Montreat. We were there when it snowed and the house was cozy and the snowy views magical. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the porches and patio.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

We loved our stay! The house was charming, clean and stocked with thoughtful hospitality items. The outdoor porches were a highlight surrounded by trees and very quiet. We hope to return!

Lovely home!

There were 5 adults staying here while attending a seminar at The Cove. The home is very well stocked. I slept on the screened on porch at felt like I was camping! The only caveat is the bathrooms are TINY! They worked well, no heating or plumbing issues, just tiny rooms. The loft is set up for kids, they would love to stay up there. There are two "living rooms" with lots of seating. That is reminiscent of old homes. There are two fantastic decks, lots of rockers, tables, candles, a hammock, a porch swing and ceiling fans. A wonderful place to hang out!

Cute cottage in the trees

We enjoyed our stay in Montreat. The cottage was comfortable. Had great decks for sitting up in the trees and enjoying e sounds.

Such a cute house, very neat and 1930's charm with modern updates and conveniences. Our family LOVES the mountains, the creeks, the smell of greenery just outside your window. I grew up spending summers in Montreat with family and friends. Stepping into a whole separate world with mother nature infusing herself into your heart through sight, sound, smell and touching you eternally with memories of an experience you carry with you for a life time. Spending time with your family, that you don't get at home with our regular daily home schedules. Going to square dances on Friday Nights and ice cream at the Blue Cone (Dairy King-not Queen) afterwards with friends, and listening to the rain outside your window at night as the crickets sing along. Lovin' my Montreat Memories!

Weekends stay booked, so we decided to lessen the weekday rates for those who don't have to book the weekend. So come and see how we started out with a cute neat, clean little cottage perfect for our little family, but our family grew and so we helped our house grow. First we added porches and space inside too, building into the attic with a loft with a view. Next with more sleeping space for friends and family, it's true, we needed more space so we made another space for two. Well, we like to be outside and our space outside was the next addition, that is when we decided a patio space we would use! Two huge decks were added as well. Come and see our cottage, and we hope that you do, it's beautiful to visit the Montreat home with treehouse views!
