Needs work

The house is beautiful but has been left to age without updates or keep up. The kitchen is sparsely supplied with utensils that are mostly in disrepair. The carpet desperately needs replacing. The WiFi information was not passed onto us or the rental company so we had no working WiFi. Why does a house for 14 have seating for 5 in the living room? To spend any time together we had to sit at the kitchen table. This beautiful house needs some TLC.

Our worst VRBO ever

Surf or Sound is a company you shouldn't deal with. The place needed work about every floor. I could spend a month there painting drywalling and cleaning and probably wouldn't be finis

Very Dirty, Elevator Did Not Work Properly

Rented this house because we needed a handicap accessible property. So many issues with the elevator. Not consistent and called maintenance. There was a 2x4 piece of wood that fell down from the shaft, and we were grateful for the fix. However, that did not solve the problem. Took 30 minutes to get the elevator to call from floor to floor. Got trapped with no air in it. Phone does not work in elevator. House was VERY dirty and sparse linens. 2 bath towels per room. Not enough for a family of 4 for the week. No rugs for the shower, so had to buy or own or risk falling. Smudges all over the kitchen. My sister stepped on a piece of glass in the kitchen. Hairballs under the couch. Ripped couch, etc. Management was kind enough to send another cleaner out the same day, but still inconvenient as soon as you arrive. Only half of the TV's in the bedrooms were hooked up to cable. Media room did not have ANY hookup at all. Couch had stains everywhere. Also, the pictures showed 10 chairs for the pool, but there were only 4 when we arrived. Not enough for a family of 12 staying there all week. It's a trek to the beach and not as good of view as we had down the road last year. Would not stay again or recommend this property.

Probably won’t use your company again

Small child and elderly person stuck in elevator when the power went out. One of the neighbors told us that the power goes out regularly. That would have been nice to know before hand. The grill caught on fire due to grease build up from previous guests. Fire extinguisher is now empty. The screen door on the hot tub room was hanging off. My father fixed it with a butter knife. There were nails sticking out of the stairs. Three different people stepped on them. I fixed that for you. The curtains don’t cover the sliding doors to block the sun. Besides being an inconvenience, it heats up the house making the air conditioning work harder. Wasting money. An old barbecue was chained to one of the supports on the house. Looked like a yard sale. There were dings and dents on every single wall in the house. The pool table was ripped. I have pictures if you’d like to see all the damage. Very sad that a house that I paid $7k was in such poor condition.
