Cozy little place

The house on stilts was cute and easy to access. As it was an older structure the experience was pleasant with normal no frills amenities. Not without charm, the neighborhood was friendly and quiet. Low water pressure in the bathroom meant brushing teeth and washing hands in the kitchen. The deck was large and had a grill but the patio doors were semi functional and the screens had a tendency to fall. Fortunately we were able to make them work for our needs

We love it!

This is our third time to stay n this sweet little place. We love the neighborhood & the beach that is close by. We love going to the local dock & access to great fresh seafood. Definitely recommend 😊😎

Simple, comfortable home

We enjoyed our stay one block from the beach in wonderful Pass Christian! We even extended our stay. All the comforts including DTV and internet.

Strongly recommend this house for any family ,I would gladly rent it again!

The house had everything we needed ,we felt right at home .The most impressioning thing about it is how calm it is around and how close it is to the beach ,you could walk there if you want to .Its a beautiful house I would love to rent it again !

Great beach bungalow

We had three adults and three kids and we fit just fine. Loved the balcony at night. Just a couple short blocks to the beach and loads of free parking less than one minute from the driveway. House was cute and decorated in a beachy theme which you would expect. Shower has awesome pressure and having the second toilet was perfect. No beach activities just a few minutes up the coast which the kids loved. Definitely will be renting this place again

What a sweet Mississippi spot.

5 weeks and so enjoyable. Big front glass doors allowed us to enjoy all kinds of weather from inside. Walked the beach daily. Bathroom Reno fabulous. Washer dryer worked well. Thanks Bob and Carlotta. Mardi Gras floats passed by the deck on the way to the parade. Canada loved Mississippi folks.

Cute little house close to the beach

We had a wonderful time at the Seaside Retreat! It was within walking distance of the beach (however, the water is pretty dirty in Pass Christian). The space was perfect for our family. It is only an hour to New Orleans and only 2 hours to Pensacola, FL! The house was perfectly cleaned and had great instructions. The only issue we had at the house, is that only 2 of the burners worked on the stove (which made making dinner a little tricky), but we made it work. I would definitely be back!

The train

Loved the little bungalow. Didn’t think a train in the back yard was going to be a big deal, but ohhh! It shook the bed and house at 3am! We didn’t get a good nights sleep for 2 months! Not something you want to put up with when you’re on a snowbird vacation! Won’t be renting this again!

Super Cute, quaint, and very home away from home.

It was perfect for our family vacation. It has linens, fully stocked kitchen (minus food) coffee pot, you name it, it was there; even has a BBQ down stairs. The decor was super cute. The neighbors were super nice. It was just a couple of blocks from the beach which we LOVED! It was the perfect location. Only 45 mins from New Orleans and just a couple of hours from Florida. The town was so quiet and everyone in town was super nice and helpful. We bought some boogie boards for the beach & left them for the next family. Hopefully they will have as much fun on the beach as we did. I loved sitting on the balcony of an evening with a glass of wine and just relaxing. Can't say enough how amazing our stay was. We have already decided we will most definitely be staying again next year if it is available.

Seaside retreat? Yes, this place will have you retreating..

Renters please be aware this place is not as shown nor described. It is dirty and is infested with roaches(they were a stowaway in our luggage after we left).The toilet is extremely loose, tub will not drain( you will stand in dirty bath water while showering) and the bathroom door will hardly open. There is a review after our booking that informs her of these exact issues yet she chose not to fix them and told us she knew nothing about it. There is a cooking pot under the sink collecting water (for “safety reasons” of course). The outdoor furniture is rotten and broken. There is no photo of the washroom in the listing because it is moldy and in awful condition. The smell of mold and mildew is overwhelming. The owner is in California so she claims not to know the state of the property. It took her a full day to respond to me regarding the condition of the home and wanting to leave. She said she would refund the money. However, we only received a small portion of it back. She is a dishonest person. We sent photos to VRBO in hopes that another family is not going to have to deal with this on their vacation. We spent more than budgeted for on this trip(last minute booking for a new place and having to throw away groceries that had been bought) due to her dishonesty. We would have never booked this property had we known it’s current condition.

The house didn't feel ready for us.

When we arrived the house was not stocked for our week stay. There was only one roll or toilet paper, the paper towel roll was almost gone and hardly any dish soap left and laundry drying in the dryer. There was no grill. That night when we tried to lock the door we couldn't get either of the locks to work. My husband tried for a half hour to figure out why the door wouldn't shut tight enough to lock. The next day we talked to the owners who are out of state. They had the cleaning person bring over the toilet paper, a grill and the other supplies that were low. That was great. We couldn't get the door to lock until the last day. That gave us some anxiety at night and when we weren't at the house.The house was adequate for 6 people but small. There is only about 1' between the foot of the bed and the wall.

Great little bungalow

This was a great little bungalow for our father/son fishing trip. All four of us had our own bed (counting the pull out couch). The window A/Cs were a bit loud in the bedrooms, but they certainly kept the whole place cool during the hottest part of the year. The decorations are a bit out-dated, but for four guys that weren't looking for 5 star accommodations, it was perfect. The deck was great for sitting outside at night, hanging towels/swimsuits to dry. The price was great, especially since we paid so much for the fishing trips. All the amenities (fridge, microwave, cable, etc.) worked great. We did have issues with the wifi, but since we weren't in the house much, it wasn't a big deal. We didn't use any dishes, silverware, etc. but it was all provided. It was walking distance to the beach as long as you're not carrying a bunch of stuff, but there's a parking lot right at the end of the street that connects to the main road by the beach. I'd be willing to spend a week vacation with my family as long as my wife understood it's a little bungalow and not a 5-star hotel. Communication with the property manager was seamless and handled through text/email. It is very close to a railroad track and the train is loud and shakes the house a little. But not a big deal to us. Checkout was easy and instructions were clear. Again, it was perfect for us and what we needed.

Beach Bungalow for Spring Break

We enjoyed our recent stay in Pass Christian. If you are unfamiliar with the area, there are a string of communities along the coast that have restaruants, harbors, piers, and shops - Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport. The area is within driving distance of New Orleans, LA one direction and BIloxi, MS in the other. Be aware that the beaches and water aren't the pristine clearer water that is found further down the Gulf but during springtime/cooler weather, it is a nice area to just go and look at the water and get your beach time. The house itself is only a couple of blocks from the beach/gulf. There is a balcony that spans the front of the home and if one peeks through the trees you can spot the water! The outdoor area is nice in the mornings for a cup of coffee and for a relaxing glass of wine in the evenings. There is a washer/dryer in a storage room downstairs (having laundry facilities is a huge plus for me when on vacation) and laundry detergent was provided. There is covered parking but it has low clearance so we just parked in the driveway. The home itself is older - as noted - but is fully furnished and slept our family of four easily. There were plenty of linens, pillows, blankets, towels. The futon in the living room served the purpose for extra seating/sleeping but a sleeper sofa might be a nice upgrade. There was plenty of refrigerator space and cabinet space and the home was very clean - also a must for me. Paper goods were provided although we did run out of toilet paper (no big deal we just bought some more). My only complaint would be the bathtub - it was very old and even though it had been cleaned, was stained and worn to the point where we just used it for showering, no baths. There wasn't vanity space but the bathroom had a storage unit with empty drawers where you could put your things (also useful because the "master" bedroom had no dresser, just closet space. The other bedroom had storage cubes which were handy.) As also noted in the description - there are railroad tracks right behind the house! As I have a husband who loves trains, this was not a problem for us. And you really do get used to it after the first few times. There is a Walmart only a mile or two down the road for anything you might need. Pirate's Cove is good for po'boys and is within walking distance. We personally recommend Steve's Marina in Long Beach for a dinner out. Overall a good stay at a good property!
