Charming apartment in a charming town

I grew up in the Cascade area and was so excited to share the town with my in-laws. We had a great time at this property and my in-laws from the DC area absolutely loved their experience! Highly recommend staying here, it has everything you need!

Great Location

My family had a great time visiting town and staying in this cute apartment. Amenities to entertain teenage boys (13 &15) walk to restaurants and excellent distance from three different small towns that hosted our baseball teams.

Small Town Getaway

This is a great renovated 2 bedroom apartment to stay while we were visiting family in Cascade. Check in was simply and the space was great for what we needed.

Had a great stay! The place is decorated perfectly. Easy to find. only down fall was the loud music in the morning from the salon.

Wonderful town and property

I really enjoyed staying in Cascade and the unit was very nice. Property owner was extremely courteous. You have to climb some stairs as it is on the second floor. Very quaint town, people in Iowa are for the most part, really very nice and that too, helped make the start enjoyable. There is a freshly asphalted walking path right out the back door (which is the door you use). Goes maybe a half mile and is lighted at night.

Nice place, comfy beds

Everything was just as pictured/stated - cozy but modern, this little apartment was perfect for our 3 day family getaway to Northern Iowa. Clean. Ready well before promised time--had we been able to arrive earlier (bonus). Bedding was newer and pretty; beds were the softest and most comfortable of any VRBO at which we have stayed! (Not an exaggeration.) Kitchen had lots of cupboards and cooking utensils. Bathroom fan worked well. Shower plumbing is backward (hot & cold) but we figured it out right away. Large pantry. Place stocked with the usual condiments and a few extra surprises--like bottled water in frig and a couple canned goods in pantry. Priced very fairly for the space & amenities. Close to Dubuque, the Field of Dreams, and various parks. Herbert Hoover Presidential Library one hour away. Several National Parks within an easy drive. Right on Main Street. Town seems to shut down early on the weekends, except for Music in the Park (unexpectedly rocking until 11pm), so shop or dine early. But the local pizza place stayed open until 8:15 to finish our takeout order and it was worth it! Yum. Wished the apartment had an outdoor space (a patio to use or a little deck to enjoy morning coffee) but that was not advertised or expected, so this is not a drawback. Owner was very responsive and communicates well. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Could not have been better!

Our host, Jackie, provided a clean, spacious and convenient 2nd floor apartment. We stayed in the there for the Field of Dreams game for a couple of days but would have loved to have stayed even longer. The people of Cascade made us feel welcome the minute we stepped into town. If you're looking for a beautiful, small town Midwestern experience, look no further than Jackie and Cascade.

Charming

Charming apartment & neighborhood with amazing communication from hostess. Good eats in the area, there was a small music festival at the park across the street on Saturday night. A dining table would have been nice, as the counter chairs were a bit uncomfortable when sitting for a while.
