First I would like to present the good points. Location was good, property was as presented in VRBO, stocked well.
Bad points: The apartment is on the first floor and you can hear everything that is going on upstairs, from flushing toilets to people walking or moving chairs and parking lot is right next to main bedroom window.
I stayed only one out of the three nights that I had booked. I left due to a health family emergency on the second day at 9 pm . I never used the Kitchen, just the refrigerator. A couple days later I get a nasty phone call and email from the owner saying that there was a blodbath on one of the bedrooms and the range was damaged or something. She is threatening to take me to court, sue me if I don't reimburse her for damages to her sheets. And by the way she left a nasty review of me as a guest.
I checked with my son, 12 , and he told me that he thinks his nose had bled during the night but he did not see any blood on the sheets. I did not know any of this when we left in a hurry. I agreed to pay because life is too short and don't need bad karma, eventhough I am a lawyer and it would cost me nothing to face a frivolous lawsuit. I have been renting from VRBO for 20 years at least, never had an owner act this way and I never had any compliants. There are some expenses that you will not recoup as a business owner, its part of the deal and if you cant handle that you should get out of that business.
