Great location, great space

Perfect for skiing Kirkwood, walking distance to everything, nice space. Parking/access a little confusing, but works. Come fully stocked. No grocery store, and restaurant options are very very limited.

Perfect ski stay

Perfect location for a weekend at Kirkwood. Great amenities and steps away from the chairlift. I highly recommend this place. We hope to come again.

Loved it!

We were extremely happy with this property. The views of the meadow and mountains can’t be beat. There was plenty of space for our two families (4 adults and three kids). The property faced away from the ski mountain which protected us from the all night snow grooming noise. It was an easy walk to the Kirkwood lodge and to the shuttle stop for the Timber Creek ski area. The assigned underground garage parking is a nice bonus, especially when it was time to pick kids up from ski school mid day. We didn’t have to worry about loosing our parking spot. We would absolutely stay in this unit again.

Great stay!

We had a great time at Krikwood and our VRBO rental. It was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we could want. Our only complaint is with the VRBO website/communication portal. It was difficult to communicate with our host as the VRBO inbox was not functioning properly.

Great location and comfy home

Our family of 4 enjoyed our ski trip with two other families at this rental home. It is located on the top of a 4 story building near both the cross country ski tracks and alpine ski lifts. The entrance to the building is not very visible especially at night. But, the rental home is very spacious with comfy beds and well-stocked kitchen. The unit heater is very strong, and we felt quite warm and cozy during our stay. Hot water is great too. One of the bathrooms had a problem, and we contacted the rental office and they came quickly to fix it. We will definitely remember this place and come back again.

Fun ski trip location

The location of this place is perfect. There's one underground parking spot and extra guest parking spots our front but you do need to leave the parking spots by 11am on your checkout day. You might not be able to find a nearby parking spots after that. That's something to plan for when renting if you plan to ski on the day you are checking out. The place itself has great view of the mountains and it is a good size for a group of 10.

Spacious condo in great location

We had an excellent stay at the condo. It is spacious enough for 10 people, and well appointed. The location is perfect - just a couple of minute walk to the Corniche Express. So everyone could leave and come back from the slopes when they wanted. The views from the balcony and two of the bedrooms is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Kirkwood !

Great location

Spacious 3 bed room plus loft. Easy access to ski lift (less than 5 minute walk). Property was clean, and in a good condition overall. WiFi and TV set-up was great and sufficient to keep teenagers and kids occupied. Easy check-in with ample parking. Kitchen has all appliances and had all pots/pans/plates etc needed to cater for a group of 8. Highly recommended.

Unfortunate timing and cleanliness issues

We went when the air quality suddenly went bad. The unit did not have air conditioning so we we were stuck in the unit hot with all the windows closed. They provided 3 electric fans, not enough though bec there were 4 bedrooms. We asked for an air purifier they did not have any. The place was also a little dusty. The bathroom lock in the masters and common area were broken. The common bathroom was dirty.

Fantastic, roomy, we were there for a wedding.

We wanted a big place with room for multiple parties to have their own privacy and that’s what we got. The rest of the wedding guests were at the same building so it was perfect.

Nice Weekend Stay in Kirkwood

The property is spacious, clean, and had beautiful views of the mountains. The place is not crowded during this time of the year so it was nice to walk around the village and do hiking. On the property, the entry lock into the house was a little tricky initially but we got used to it. The locks for the downstairs bathroom were not working. The upstairs was a little hot during night time since there was no air-conditioning. The wifi and the entertainment systems work well. Overall, we had a good stay here and I recommend this property.

nice condo...a little tired

Very good location near the lifts and on the meadow. The building itself is not very nice. The condo is pretty good with great views and plenty of space. The furniture is quite dated. The bed mattresses need replacing as they are shot. The coffee maker leaks when filled to the top. The couch is as old as the building. The condo construction is "budget"...but that isn't the fault of the owners. There is NO cable TV available as the owner doesn't pay for access. There are no speakers to stream any music through. The owner could fix all these things and it would offer a big improvement.

The location is not very good.

The location is not very good, a bit tangled and very little parking !! only 3 cars. They do not give you that notice before renting the house. The overall stay was fine and comfortable. And a long way from South Lake Tahoe. For the distance, location and little parking I give it a 7 rating.
