Good overall value but wasn’t exactly what I expected
Pros
Great location/home base for day trips, most comfy bed ever, milk/eggs/butter/bread/cereal provided were appreciated, adequately stocked kitchen, plenty of indoor and outdoor space for a family of 4 and dog, pool was nice for the kids to cool off.
Could be better
Cabin could use some TLC/fix ups/deep clean in the corners and definitely some window screens (no AC and only one small window with a screen so was hard to get airflow without living with bugs).
Property was not what I expected. The cabin is right beside another rental cabin and permanent RV, no issues with other tenants or noise but if you are expecting a secluded cabin in the woods by itself then this isn’t it.
Dogs, dogs everywhere… I have a cranky old limpy dog who doesn’t get along with other dogs. I had confirmed the dog situation prior to booking with the owner and she said she had 2 small dogs that are usually up at the main house with her but when we arrived there were 3 large dogs on the loose barking at us and at any one time there may be 2 to 5 dogs hanging around. They were all nice however a couple of the larger ones were quite barky so if you/your kids/your dog aren’t comfortable around dogs this isn’t the place for you. Overall it didn’t impact our stay but just wasn’t what I was expecting.
