A Few Problems plus Expensive, Far-Away Parking

Between my mom and I's vehicle we spent about $300 to park 3 blocks away. The listing is not transparent about the lack of parking, and seeing as this is an apartment and not a hotel room at the Statler, I was confused as to why the apartment's parking space was not included in the booking. Both the AC and the internet quit working in my rental and I spent over an hour (for each issue) on the phone or in chat with Sonder, trying to resolve these issues. The elevator was not simple to use and there was only 1 in operation for all 20 floors and their guests. Overall, I would have chosen the other rental I had been looking at, had the listing been transparent.

Cool place, little rough around the edges

We had a great time in the area. The unit had some dirty elements like stains on the pull out couch, broken water handles on the bathroom sink, dirty exterior on the fridge. All in all it was fine and what we needed and the Statler staff was great.

Great accommodations

We were coming to area to go to football game @ cowboys stadium , and decided to stay in downtown dallas . This place was a great experience . Greeted by friendly sonders staff , very informative and helpful . Check in was fast and easy . The apartment was great ..very clean , spacious , comfortable and cleanly decorated . Rooms were very quiet too , slept great ! The building itself was a nice setup . There is a breakfast restaurant, a fine steakhouse , sports bar , rooftop club .. even a cool speakeasy in the basement ( you have to type code in a pay phone and secret door opens up ) . Food and drinks were great in all the spots . Plenty of nice bars and restaurants in walking distance , area felt safe as well . Walked to the jfk memorial and saw a lot of unique places and architecture on the way . As far as getting to AT&T stadium , was only a quik 20 minute Uber away . Overall great experience and would highly recommend this property .

far from a better way to stay

This was my first time staying at a sonder location and will probably be my last. You can tell the employees there lack communication. Navigating through the budling was far from convenient. When entering through the hotel you would would have to walk through a parking garage that constantly smelled like hot garbage. If entering the building from the street the garbage smell still lingered but it wasn't as strong. Minimal information was given at check in other than the room unlocks from the phone. Upon arriving to unit there was an issue with the lock and it wouldn't sync and the front desk worker unlocked it with his phone but didn't care to look into why it wasn't working for me. Later on the property manager came up when we couldn't get in and after unlocking the door for us he told us there was an issue with the lock. During our first full day I received a call saying they could move my group of 5 to 2 separate rooms on 2 different floors or we could stay in our current unit and call customer service to unlock our door every time, so we decided to stay in our original unit. Later on I received a call saying the move wasn't optional and they found 2 units on the same floor. So we moved but upon arriving at our new units they were minimally stocked with kitchen essentials, one only had a 2 qt pot to cook with. We had to bring pots and pans back and forth between the units to cook. Staying here was a headache and we felt that sonder was far from accommodating.
