Absolutely the worst
I emailed the host 5 times before arriving with questions about the apartment. I got a response from him only after I contacted VRBO about the lack of communication.
On initial entry, everything appeared OK, however after unpacking & being there a while, we noticed all the dirt. BR sink wasn't draining but did better after my husband pulled a glob of hair from the drain. Water standing in the shower where the soap & shampoo were, easy to resolve but should have been taken care of before our arrival.
The small frying pan has some burned remnants & when I went to clean it, I found a lot of black gunk IN the faucet (looked like black mildew). It was disgusting & very unsanitary & once again, I had to clean it before use.
I went to use the washer, there were a lot of old grass-type remnants in the bottom of the washer along with dirt all around the machine. It's as though no-one has ever wiped it down. The dryer wasn't much better, the lint trap was disgusting & once again had to be cleaned before use. The slats on the doors to the washer/dryer are filthy.
I took pictures of everything before cleaning it & sent it to the host along with a request of reimbursement of $169.41 (host fee) since I had to do all the cleaning & he should have taken care of it before our arrival. His only response was he would address it with his housekeeping staff. No accountability on his part.
We also complained because there was no TV reception, kept pixilating when trying to watch. Of course we didn't really notice this until our last day but when I addressed it with him, true to nature, I got no response.
I addressed the situation with VRBO,( sent them all the pictures) who opened a file. I followed up several times but I have yet to receive a response, 3 months later.
I have never had this horrible experience with VRBO listings.
