The Space:
Wallys Retreat 2 sits in the timber and mining town of Greenbushes, just an hour's drive away from Busselton. Nearby Golden Valley Tree Park, and Shamrock Hotel Greenbushes.
A cozy 155-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette equipped with twin hotplate (stored under the sink), microwave, kettle, toaster, and cooking equipment stored in drawers. We also have condiments available such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and sugar supplied.
The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for you to use. It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save the environment.

Guest Access:
- We have plenty of parking in the area.
- Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas including the farm.
Please note that the two(2) tiny homes are quite close together (as presented in the aerial picture) within 5-6metres of each other. So if you want a tiny home stay in the middle of nowhere with lots of privacy this is NOT the place for you. These tiny homes are set up more for overnight stays and people who are not concerned with having a lot of privacy.
As an added note, we have a farmhouse situated in the area 50 meters away from tiny homes but is mostly obscured by the front yard with garden trees and bushes. The area is surrounded by bushland and offers a peaceful and quiet location and free BBQ area adjacent to tiny homes with free Webber baby BBQ and fire pits (when there are no fire bans in place) and comfy seating.
The Neighborhood:
Wallys Retreat 2 sits in the unique and picturesque heritage town of Greenbushes, nearby Golden Valley Tree Park, Shamrock Hotel Greenbushes. It is located on the highest point of the Darling Scarp, at the edge of an old mining town close to bushwalking and bike riding trails, camping sites, and natural attractions.
Greenbushes is a good base for day trips to places like Bridgetown, Nannup, Collie, Manjimup, and Balingup to name a few. We have many varied walk/ride trails near town that offer peaceful, enjoyable ventures through natural woodlands, bushwalks, and more.
Our local recommendations:
- Shamrock Hotel - Greenbushes' best restaurant / Pub.
- The Cidery - Bridgetown is near a very popular café, cidery producing many ciders and some wines.
- Greenbushes Pool is a popular waterhole for locals that offers nature walks, picnics, swimming, and more.
- Linga Longa Bike Park offers visitors of all skill levels, child or adult, the best of Western Australia's gravity trails.
- Greenbushes Discovery Centre is a beautiful old building containing interactive displays of timber, mining, and farming that have been conducted in the area since the 1800s.
- Mine Lookout is a picturesque location near town that provides a fantastic view of the Greenbushes' lithium mining activities.
We also have many festivals on occasion held throughout the year that include, bike marathons/tours both road and mountain bike, the Bridgetown blues festival, the Bridgetown show, flower festivals, Balingup Medieval Carnival.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr drive to and from Bunbury
- 2 hr drive to and from Albany
- 2.5 hr drive south from Perth
By public transport:
- We recommend guests to travel by their own private vehicle, or request pick up from Transwa bus stop.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have fruit trees that guests are free to walk around
- Please note that we have small friendly dogs on the property
- We are small working hobby farm with small flock of sheep and chooks
- Fresh farm produce such as eggs, fruits, are accessible to guests when in season and available.
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny house but there will be designated smoking areas
- Kookaburras, magpies, kangaroos, and native Aussie wildlife frequent on the property
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Please note that there is another tiny house on this property. Please expect some guests during your stay. They are 5-6m apart, not directly facing each other but angled off.
Important note:
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property and abundant wildlife, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
