Welcome to a captivating family home nestled forty-five hundred feet up in the North Carolina mountains. Adjacent to the six thousand acre protected wilderness of Panthertown, this home offers a 240º vista two thousand feet down the South Carolina escarpment with views from Caesars Head to Lake Hartwell. High above Bad Creek, Lake Jocassee, and, of course, Lake Toxaway, enjoy the flickering lights of Greenville in the distance. The early morning and evening hues of the sky are the distinctive blue that names these mountains and, as Thomas Jefferson said, “it is impossible for the emotions arising from the sublime to be felt beyond what they are here…the rapture of the spectator is really indescribable.”

This house sits at the summit of Toxaway Mountain (Hogback Mountain to the old-timers) and offers a cerebral respite to city life - come here to enjoy morning coffee with a sunrise view of the lake fifteen hundred feet below and dinner with the lights of the night sky in the distance! A great home base for adventure, spend a day on the lake tubing, go for a hike to the top of Little Green Mountain or search for trout with a day fly fishing in DuPont State Forest. Sited in a landscaped wonderland, the house includes wonderful living spaces and a gourmet kitchen opening onto a spacious, magical porch in the clouds. The bedrooms offer accommodations for 8 people comfortably, and all four offer en-suite bathing. The main floor primary suite offers a sitting/television room while a downstairs television room offers an evening of 75” 4K entertainment for your viewing pleasure. The living room offers incredible mountain views and a stately fireplace, while the dining room includes a wall of windows to the formal front garden.

A citadel overlooking the Lake Toxaway community, Cinnamon Lodge offers an encompassing experience of all western North Carolina has to offer…hiking, relaxing, reading, cooking, and reflecting in the calm of a mountain cul de sac.
