Newly and best location

A very nice and new hotel that has become my new favorite for business travel to Batam. Excellent location and also freshly surrounded by a great city view. Hoping only that the breakfast offering for westerners improves.

It was an exceptional experience. I was checked in and checked out by Ms Nara, who was super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed talking with all their counter staff in fact. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast spread was good and tasty. The location of the hotel was really good. Grand Mall Batam is just next door and connected with the hotel. Nagoya Hill Shopping centre is just a 5 mins drive away. There are also 3 really good Spas located just beside the hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay in the hotel and i would definitely bring my family here again.

Oakwood my no. 1 choice at Batam

The experience at Oakwood is great from the moment you step into the property. Friendly staff, nice room, good view, clean, good water pressure, comfy bed and pillow, next to Grand Batam Mall.

Had a pleasant 2N stay at the hotel. The service from the front reception to bell boy is excellent. Was greeted by Mr Willy who is very friendly and patiently responded to my questions on my room request. Very pleased to note that my room was available before checkin time and my special request has been satisfied. I highly recommend this hotel for it's excellent service, great location and eco friendliness (no use of plastic and having recycling bins at all levels).

Hotel is located strategically, very convenient through the linked bridge to Grand Batam Mall. There was lots of food option around the mall. Many spa around the location as well. Staff was friendly and warm. They were also very responsive through email enquiry. Breakfast has a wide spread of variety and room was very clean.

Stay here!

All good, great choice to stay here. Currently 4 months in operation, few teething problems and staff readiness issues are there, but give them 2 more months. Restaurant food should go delicious and hearty and forgo pretentiousness. A beautiful hotel like this should not place fake plastic plants in any corner. All the best!

Check-In time should be prompt not late, have waited one hour plus to check in and no extension of check- out hours has been extended to us… Hope this part could see improvement when we stay again. Other than that, the hotel is clean and spacious and very strategically near to Grand Batam Mall which is a huge plus point where food and shopping is within walk. Hotel staffs are friendly and polite. There is a Water dispenser at the end of hotel room corridor that provides drinking water which in my opinion, very thoughtful and convenient for everyone needs.

Very convenience location. 20 walking steps to the mall. We did not opt for breakfast buffet. Only able to access other floor unless you have the same floor room card.

Very new Hotel. I booked the executive studio, so the room was big and plenty comfortable. It's connected to the Grand Batam mall just next door and I don't need to walk outside to access the mall, which is very convenient. The only bad thing was that noise isolation from outside is poor. I could hear car noises form the outside. And for some reason they are doing some kind of remodeling/construction either upstairs or downstairs on a Saturday. I could hear the electric saw noises and hammer banging sounds. I understand you need to do remodeling sometimes, but Saturdays are busy and mostly likely have a customer on other rooms. So, should pick a less busy day to do it.

Batam City Hidden Gem?

Back again in this vibrant city of Batam. Well well well.. Another new spot with excellent location for shoppers. Located next to Batam Grand Mall. It is not visible from the main road though. Overall staff was great! Greated with smiles. From the security, receptionist and the rest of the staff. Speaks english very well. Im impressed. Good for international traveller. Pool area was nice and clean. The bistro/dining area were awesome with luxury vibes. Breakfast spread was good. There are room for improvement for the quality of food serve. Overall it was a good stay for me and wife. We will be back soon. Definitely. Keep it up and im sure it will be one of the gems in Batam.

Would be good if the room doors are installed with additional locking mechanism. Also there was a live cockroach in my room which I reckon it’s a once off because the room is very clean and nice. As the hotel is new, it is not showing up on the Grab/Gojek apps yet so just take note to use Grand Batam Mall to locate if you have trouble. Otherwise, the hotel cannot be located any better, it’s a few steps away from the Grand Batam Mall and nearby spas. The service staff are top notch and helpful, grateful for how caring and friendly they are.
