Highly recommend....

We stayed here for an overnight stay prior to a hospital appointment. It was excellent in all aspects. The room was spotless, fresh and inviting. It was ideally situated, easy to find and parking available. Comfortable bed and lovely crisp bedding all added to the experience. We had a delicious breakfast....I would highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

Great little find

What a lovely little find and with a bus service to Edinburgh centre right outside the front door. Very very comfy bed , slept better than i had in weeks. Lovely couple that run the B&B . At first i thought the bathroom was very small but considering the size of the property i thought it was great use of a small space. Didnt have breakfast as i was out early both days. Highly recommend and if i have to come back to the city i may just book again.

Absolutely lovely little guest house. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent with lots of choice of good quality items. Thank you.

Small room with a very small bathroom. But the location ist very good. Bus stop to South Bridge just across the road. Owner ist very friendly.

Sehr zu empfehlen, mit ganz kleinen Mängeln.

Engagierte und sehr nette Gastgeber, unkomplizierte Kommunikation. Bushaltestelle vor der Türe, man ist rasch in der Innenstadt. Zimmer sauer und schön. Leider ist das Waschbecken im kleinen Bad wirklich winzig. Aber für ein paar Tage stört das nicht. Unser erstes Zimmer war perfekt, das zweite roch leider etwas muffig - kam wohl aus dem Bad. Aber ansonsten wirklich alles bestens.

Alles wunderbar, sehr netter Empfang, mit dem Bus 15 Minuten ins Zentrum, Haltestelle vor der Türe. Bad klein, aber ausreichend. Bett sehr bequem. Zu empfehlen!

Weekend in Edinburgh

The Alpha Guest House was our base for a family birthday weekend in Edinburgh and the owners were wonderful in all aspects of the stay. From our arrival through to our departure after a great breakfast could not be faulted! I would definitely come back as the location, value for money and quality of the Guest House was excellent.

Great place in Edinburgh

Alpha Guest House was a great base for us in Edinburgh. Outside the city centre, hence quiet but easy to get to and from the centre by bus. Just remember to either pre-purchase your bus tickets or have the exact fare (as they do not give change on the buses). Our host was lovely and even made use a "take-away" breakfast for the morning when we did a bus trip and had an early start. Will stay again when next in Edinburgh.

Handy for hospital appointment.

Stayed overnight as had hospital appointment next day. Bus stops at door going and returning. Very handy. Owner lovely lady and very helpful. Superb breakfast.

Es ist sehr sehr ruhig, wir haben himmlisch geschlafen! (Trotz) Busstop Nr.33+49 genau vor der Tür, 10 Min. fährt der Bus nur die Straße hinauf bis zur Royal Mile im Viertelstd.-Takt. Sehr charmanter u.warmer Empfang. Die Zimmer sind so, wie auf den Fotos, wunderbar! Das Frühstück wird abgefragt und serviert. Yoghurt, Müsli, schott.Frühstück sowie Toast und Marmelade+ Tee+Kaffee u. O-Saft. Sehr lecker, wir waren pappensatt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden u. würden wieder hier übernachten.
