It was perfect for us. Our London go to.

This place was perfect for us. Family of 4, traveled with my young adult children. We had space, there are balconies in every room. It was spacious. Close to all major public transport. Also love that they partner with local businesses for breakfast or lunch and even the gym. Our next trip to London id absolutely stay here again. Anytime i had a question it was addressed right away.

Train line right outside bedroom window

Apartment was excellent but major issue that the DLR and other very busy train lines are immediately outside the bedroom window. Very noisy and lead to a disturbed nights sleep.

It was very noisy, no AC, due to noise couldn’t leave window open, the apartment was 30+ degrees overnight. Regular delivery truck at 2:30am right outside window made it impossible to sleep through. Will not stay there again.

Small, stuffy studio

We had a studio, which was a bit smaller than we expected. Just not a lot of room to move around. The room was quite stuffy & warm. The small rotating fan didn’t do much. The location is good, but you have to navigate either a dark tunnel or dark alley at night, which didn’t feel great.

Overall a very positive experience. Communication with Bob W team was very efficient and pleasant. Very nice studio lay-out however I would have wished to have been made aware that tge window just overlooks a narrow wall enclave - so no natural light or view. Complimentary coffee waa very nice and the 19-69 wash and shampoo were lovely. This is a great value for money place if you need to be a walk from the city.

Property is well located and you can conveniently walk to certain attractions around Tower Hill. Property is no frills but comes with enough basic facilities (washer, dryer, microwave/oven, stove). Stand out feature was the WhatsApp chat with the Bobs. They were able to help me quickly, almost around the clock. When one of my rooms experienced a water leakage, they assisted me quickly and moved my room. Very admirable service and I want to commend them.

Very Bad Experience

Terrible experience. Temperature inside was 28 degrees C and remained there at nights and even when outside temperature fell to 16. Room has no air conditioning & window opening limited to only a few centimeters. I contacted the Hotel management who simply told us to use the fan from the cupboard- which only moves air, doesn’t cool it. Sleeping in those temperatures was impossible. NEVER stay here!!

Value for money

The stay was comfortable and well-located, with easy access to the train station and the Tower Bridge bus service. However, the studio room bed size was insufficient for two people. It would have been better if it had been a larger size. The communication with the Bob W team was helpful. They took precautions to stop the leaking dishwasher from causing water damage to the room. Later, they sent a plumber to fix the issue. I would recommend this place for your next short vacation in London.

Really nice rooms and super close to tube stations. Excellent communication with the staff. Only down sides were the mattress needs replacing. Toilet seat broken and shower didn’t drain very well. A few improvements could really make the different. However still fantastic value and enjoyed our stay.

Not great sound insulation, but next to railway line. Not great ventilation, so room ended up at 23 degrees and humid even when weather is -1 outside. Noisy fridge. Back alley style entrance may not feel comfortable for many Won’t stay here again

Nice apartment with a few easily fixed nuisances

Overall the room was quiet and had all the amenities I was looking for. The provided artisan coffee with French press coffeemaker and shortbread was a nice touch. No AC which in the typical UK weather wouldn’t be an issue, unless you get a few very hot days as I did. Provided fan was underpowered but staff delivered a better one swiftly. Biggest nuisance was the detergent used on towels which smelled like disinfectant from the old Soviet block. Adding a nicely scented dryer sheet in the installed washer / dryer could fix that quickly.

Bob W towers took the booking with the expectation that I would have a studio as pictured. After my booking Chambers Residence took over and offered a Studio that I was not expecting. They gave me a room number and when I checked in 'not a hotel' took over and handled my booking. They gave me another room and the heating didn't work (they gave me a portable heater) then he blind didn't pull up in the morning it got stuck (bit worn out). Then I heard rats running around in the area just adjacent to the studio and they were making noise all night (it wasn't inside. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

BOB W first need to make a clear distinction that this is NOT Tower Hill Studios as google maps doesn't clearly signpost this and you're not left trying to enter the wrong building. I travel with work and ended up liking this spot, the amenities were good but there was a few too many let downs: The comfy studios are cute but extremely outdated in decor and layout, cleanliness is also lacking too and far too much dust/grime. The noise levels are unbearable, if you happen to want an early night/AM lay in - aside from party guests which don't bother me much, you can hear a lot of movement from surrounding units and every door slam is extremely amplified and loud!!! There are so many doors so that's all you hear - BOB W you must fix this, it's a nuisance. Finally, my window faced a bunch of buildings/offices with an alley/car park below which to my frustration, meant blinds had to stay closed in this heat. The kicker was there were drug addled belligerents who would spend hours of the night, shrieking, shooting up their veins and having intercourse right below my window. It was maddening to think BOB W would subject guests to this torture???? I expected better from BOB W, I felt really let down.

Useless Chat Bots who apologise

Ended up on the ground floor. There was a really bad damp smell. Get a whatsapp message saying they will only accept 5-star expereinces, what could they have done better. Tell them the room had a really bad residual damp smell. They apologise. They message me the following evening, saying they want the best for their customers. I reply the room still stinks, and that the only way to sleep is with a window open. But it lasts until 5am, as the DLR starts running outside. They reply that as I am moving out the following night, not much they can do about it. Finally, when they ask for a review, they email... Offering a stupid discount scheme memebrship. Reading other reviews, it looks like it is hit and miss. Traveller beware.
