A charming older property from the outside. The stairs were a bit steep. I didn't like the fact that the key had to be used to unlock and lock the room making it hatter to flee in the case of an emergency. The shower in my room was tiny. The people were lovely and keen to help.

Highclere Hotel is a barebones hotel but good value for the price. There is no breakfast or other amenities available but the room was clean and the staff was especially friendly. The “downtown” area is a block long but has a wonderful cafe, Sun Cafe, which serves breakfast as well as good coffee. I would return to Highclere Hotel should I plan another visit to this area.

Great hotel.

Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2021 as we went racing at Ascot. Couldn’t get into the room before we went as it wasn’t vacated from the previous guest, although we knew this before arriving. Hotel owner let us use downstairs bathroom (immaculate) to change in and took out bags so he could put them in the room once it was ready. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Overall very nice , clean hotel.

Excellent location.

Enjoyable one night stay to visit Wentworth golf tournament. Hotel ideally located for several local attractions. Sunninghill, a nice village with a good choice of places to eat. Will return for sure.

Small hotel in a lovely village, on site parking. Was visiting to go to ascot races, they very nicely let us check in early to get ready. Room clean & well presented. It was the second time we’d stayed & would happily stay for a 3rd.

Fantastic, friendly, clean and extremely well maintained hotel close to a variety of restaurants on the high street and perfectly placed for Ascot racecourse - just a very short taxi ride away. Highly recommended.

Great Hotel

Only stayed 1 night but the owner couldn't do enough to make sure our short stay was very pleasing. Karen provided us with very good local knowledge of nice places to eat nearby in the evening which was very helpful. The room was very well presented, the bed very comfy and my wife and I had everything we needed for a very good nights sleep. We will return when in the area.

One night only, but a good find !

It was a single night stopover, arriving in the evening and leaving next morning ..... that said, a later checkin was accommodated and we could have no complaint about the comfort, cleanliness or standard of accommodation, the value for money or the friendliness of the owner. Decent location for a wander to the pub and restaurants on the 'main street' ... no hesitation in recommending.

Needs a new hinge or new screws perhaps?

Room was clean and tidy. My only niggle was the bathroom door had a loose hinge at the top which meant pulling the door up slightly to close it fully for the en-suite bathroom area.

Welcoming and efficient

Karen is really welcoming and helpful. Clean, everything you need and parking too. Breakfast wasn't to my taste, but I'm just hyper fussy! - Sure it suits most people!
