Our apartment was huge, possibly one of the largest Ive stayed in, but it was dated and in need of some items replacing, for example the seals on the shower. No restaurant or bar, apart from a pool bar which served snacks , but only one member of staff so very slow service, and expensive at that. Pool area was good, and lovely views of the lake from our unit . TV was unbelievably complicated to fathom out, but ok once we got it working. Very well equipped unit with dishwasher, cooker, hob, microwave and washer & dryer, however a few cleaning materials would have been appreciated, as no cleaning service was included in the rental, we had to wash our own towels and hoover etc as the maid service was $75 per visit!! Word of warning cleaning products are very expensive in Orlando at least $5 for even the most basic item. Location was fabulous for this resort, close enough to everything yet quiet and peaceful once in the resort gates, so we saved a lot in taxi fares. The view from our balcony was of the lake , which was worth paying the extra for, very relaxing having a beer on the terrace at the end of the day.

Perfect place to stay for families

Great location for visiting theme parks. Huge apartment (3 bedroom) overlooking lake. Had everything you needed. Pool area busy and a bit noisy at times. Close to good supermarket (Publix), 2 great restaurants (NYPD pizza and Beth’s Burgers), pharmacy (Walgreens). When our youngest child dislocated her knee all the staff were amazing at helping us by calling the paramedics and they did everything they could. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic accommodation

We have stayed at Vista Cay for a number of years and will go nowhere else. The staff are all so helpful particularly Charlie and Mary. The accommodation is palatial spotless and closes to all the theme parks and International Drive. Do yourself a favour book this accommodation - you won't be disappointed.

Very nice and very close to Universal & SeaWorld

Condos are large and very specious (We had a 3 bedrooms condo and it was amazing) Pool area is fab The hotel is also close to many amenities, (5 minutes drive to Universal & SeaWorld and around 10-15 minutes drive to Disney and it is close to a lots of restaurants as well) The only downside is the fact that there is not restaurant on side (not even for breakfast) And also the fact that it is completely self contain, so there is nobody coming to made the beds or any cleaning at all during your stay Overall it is a very good hotel and would recommended it!!!

Excellent location with everything you need

We stayed for 12 nights at the Vista Cay in a 3 bed townhouse. It was huge with everything we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Location is great - 10 miles from airport. 10 miles from Disney. 1 street away from International Drive. Publix supermarket next door and a great swimming pool on site for Disney off days! My only warning to long stay guests is that this truely is self catering. So there are no new towels or bed changes during your stay, unless you use the laundry facilities and do it yourself.

Great holiday to Florida

We spent two weeks in a 3bed property at Vista Cay. Unfortunately we were in the furthest away part of the complex and needs to drive each time we wanted to go to the lobby/entrance. We had a pool near our condo which was great. The kitchen unfortunately was not well equipped like other condos we have used. The basics were not there like egg cups, jugs and the starter kit was travel size for washing up etc. The accommodation overall was very good and we loved it. If you like to be within walking distance of anywhere in the evenings to avoid taking the car then this condo is not suitable for that.

perfect Holiday in Florida

we arrived at Hotel to be told we had a free upgrade to a 3 bed exec townhouse, Wow it was beautiful. Everything you needed was in the House. Just off universal boulevard so central for everything. The staff were friendly and the hotel had security to give you peace of mind. Would defo recommend and go back.

Brilliant Base for Holiday in Orlando

Brilliant location, near to attractions but not in the thick of the tourist traps. Clean large and airy apartment which was fully equipped with washer/dryer, cooker and fridge. The complex was brilliant, lovely pool and clubhouse. Will defiantly be going again.

Look no further

We stayed here from 17th sept to 1st oct .Our group consisted of myself and my wife as well as our 15 year old son and his friend . We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment . Our accomodation was on the 4th floor of block 4802 which is as close as it is possible to get to Publix and NYPD Pizza . We could not fault the property in any way and were particularly pleased at how quiet it was .In fact , it took over a week to bump into anyone in the lift ! NYPD Pizza and the chinese takeaway are every bit as good as we were led to believe . Management phoned us on our first night to check that all was well, which we appreciated . In short , do yourself a favour and ignore any negatives you may have read about Vista Cay and book in here for a stay if you are going to Orlando , you will not be disappointed .

V0ista Cay - a great place to stay!

Great place to stay, highly recommended! The decor is not to everybody’s taste but it's very big and comfortable (we had a three bedroom apartment) in a modern looking apartment block within a gated community. Some of the lights needed a dust and a bit more crockery would have been useful at times but I'm really nit-picking. This is highly recommended, close to everything (on top of Sea World, Universal and the Convention Centre) and a 15min drive to Disney; it's a 2min drive to International Drive and I4. Located adjacent to the property are a supermarket, Chinese restaurant and pizza place. You won't be disappointed and we would book again for sure.

"Great place to stay in Orlando"

We chose the Vista Cay Resort due to the price and because it was convieniently located on Universal Blvd with easy access to Sea World and Universal Studios. Before we travelled we contacted the resort, who sent out driving directions from the airport. Unfortunately, although the directions got us to the resort, we had trouble identifying where the club house was situated to enable us to check in. Checking in was a quick process and the staff were friendly and organised. We had originally booked a 2 bedroom delux condo, but we were up graded to a 3 bedroom, which was huge. The apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped with plenty of parking. Only slight negative was the positioning of the apartment block's air conditioning units outside the second bedroom, which did make sufficient noise to affect my friend's sleep. The free WiFi was great and, unlike alot of hotels, had a good speed which enabled us to face time back to the UK with no problems. The resort was next to an excellent supermarket, which we could walk to from the apartment.
