Very spacious and location of the apartment was excellent as it was just across the road from the Arena.
The only downside was that the TV did not have a remote do was a little difficult to turn the channels.
Instructions were not clear about the deposit, they sent me a link saying you can pay your deposit online however no where did it state that you can ONLY pay deposit online and not in cash or at reception. In my mind I thought I will pay deposit at reception but they said it had to be online and on that day had lost my bank card and only had cash so they didnt let me pay deposit with cash and didnt let me check in so I had to sleep in my car. Never going back to them

Great value
Great location for the arena. Clean and has all you need.
Where do I even begin??
Arrived at the property at 16:04 having 2 nights previously paid the deposit they require prior to check in. Had been traveling since 07.30 to be told they have cancelled my booking!!
Bare in mind. I purchased the book now pay later option where i have it confirmed depoist is only required prior to check in.
When I made both the female attendees aware that if deposit was paid why would I want to cancel my booking? I was then told it is not there proplem they have no availabilities therfore i need to sort something else out. Having travelled for 9 hours my passengers one of which was disabled still did not warrant any help for there mistake in canceling the a
Was told on the day of arrival (after paying for the stay in full) that we would have to put down a £250 deposit. We were not aware of this before hand and diddnt have that kind of money to spare. After borrowing it from a friend we were finally able to check in and get settled. Safe to say the pictures on the website were rather misleading. The furniture was damaged and worn and the bed was as solid as a rock (no exaggeration). As we were smokers we paid a bit extra for a balcony as it would be more convenient than going up and down the stairs, to only be told that you cant smoke on the balcony. Was not too impressed with the overall experience.
My family and friends have stayed at City Nites 3 times within the last 15 months. This is our go to place when we go to Birmingham. Its convenience to all things central cannot be overstated. We walk to and from New St Station. Its literally down the road from the ICC, SeaLife and Centenary Sq. Its nicer to stay in a serviced apartment, rather than a hotel and the prices aren't expensive either. We usually stay for a week. The only negative is that the staff need to leave more supplies like fresh towels, toilet roll etc, a little more often.
The apts are generally clean and the kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cutlery etc. There's complimentary coffee, tea, sugar etc. They do provide champagne or wine on arrival but we didnt get that this time.
We found that the shower was leaking and reported it to the mgmt office, but no one came to fix it. Apart from that and the stains on the duvet (which was covered by a clean duvet cover); our stay was a good one. I recommend City Nites Arena to anyone staying in Birmingham.
I Stayed in apartment 84 and paid an extra £30 more than the hotels price on it. I was disappointed that the entire apartment despite being the penthouse suite and supposedly more luxurious than the other apartment was incredibly cold despite the fact that I turned all the heaters up only one room was satisfyingly warm I was frozen for most of the night and this meant that I could only stay in one room comfortably as all the other rooms were too cold. The cold was coming through the windows. I felt it was a good waste for me to pay for all of hide extra rooms as i only stayed in 1 due to the heating issues. The corridor was absolutely freezing as Was the living room with the TV which meant I didn’t take advantage of watching TV at night as it was too cold. This is my second stay with city nights and I’m really really disappointed that I spent all that extra money on an apartment that I did not benefit from whatsoever
Our stay was good, except the place was quite hard to find, but after a few phone calls we managed to find the entry to the building. Also disappointed as we had a bath in the apartment but could not use it as there was not a plug. We did speak to someone but they could not get a plug for us.

Great location for the Arena
Nice apartment with all essentials for a self catering stay. The conplex is just a few minutes walk from the Arena Birmingham which was our main reason for visiting. The main shopping centre ( Bullring) is just 10/15 minute walk. Not much in the way of local supermarket or takeaway unless you walk to the centre. Secure parking is also a bonus. The only negative as such is the little complicated way to make a payment as you cant make this direct through Hotels.com however, Joanne was extremely helpful and patient and guided me throught the proceedure... i would stay again for the next concert we go to....
Worst experience ever. Rude staff, rude security and it takes a lifetime to check in. Do not recommend.

The location of this property, right next to Birmingham Arena is wonderful. The actual apartment itself was fine with some signs of wear and tear (shower basin was marked). The parking was unclear when we arrived with bays marked with a letter, but very limited spaces when trying to match the letter to your block letter, this should be more clearly explained. We found the smell on the ground floor of our block putrid and unbearable. Also there were repeated phone calls from City Nites, one which occured whilst we were at our event at The Arena.
I chose this as I wanted to have use of a kitchen and appliances for the same price as a hotel room, and for this reason it was a good choice, but I did eventually feel I had paid more than it was worth.
My apartment didn't look too much like the pictures online, it was dingy, tired-looking and not as clean as it might have been. Also, lots of banging doors to be heard from early in the morning and a fairly miserable overlook.
On the positive side, the kitchen and laundry facilities were all in order and the flat was centrally located.
Recommend for a short-stay option.
The fourth time in one of the apartments and once again the service was impressive and the accommodation was very nice tidy and clean

functional.
The room was functional and clean however the bedding was odd the bed made up with sheets the wrong size and neither of the bedside lights were plugged in nor could the plugs be reached We arrived late and left early so it mattered little really but this is not somewhere I would want to be for more than an overnight.
The positioning of the property was great however checking in was delayed due to the room not being prepared on time so we was unable to get ready for the boxing event that we where visiting Birmingham for.
The room smelt terrible and was very musty, the kitchen was in need of some repair however the beds where comfy so we slept well.
I am still awaiting the return of my £250 deposit
Good apartment with plenty of space and very well equipped.
When an issue arose with the tv - the response was quick and they just replaced it - excellent service.
It's very close to both the Arena and the ICC so is in a good location.
The place is very scruffy and put together very cheaply. The corridors have an horrendous smell of drains that is awful. The apartment is tatty and needs refurbishing. One room that backed onto the outside thoroughfare has big holes in the design that let the light of the automatic lights through right onto your face!! The apartment was non-smoking but really smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Even though my room was ready, they charged me £10 to go in one hour early, which doesn’t cost them anymore! Very poor experience.
