The property was fairly clean with the exception of a few things I noted:
1. A dirty facial towel was left behind in the restroom which contained a short curly hair.
2. My bed was made however, sheets were not changed. I noticed that there was makeup on one of the sheets still.
3. The last day of my stay there was NO hot water. As I was in line to check out in the reception area the lady mentioned that the phones were ringing off the hook since everyone was calling in regarding that issue. :/
The highlight of our stay was the accessibility of the monument tours. I was glad they offered evening tours since we were very limited with time.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check in a few hours early and they held my luggage for me for a few hours after I checked out so I didn’t have to carry it around.
My room was recently renovated - a decent value for the location and price - until the second night when I started feeling bites. The desk agent did not react when I told her. Offered no response or compensation. Now all my luggage goes into quarantine. Stay anywhere else.
Very disappointed it took forever for the hot water to start working. Then on Saturday the power was out for about 6 hours and the hot water wasn ’t working so me and my fiancé has to go somewhere to shower wasn’t a Pleasant stay at all.
From the moment we stepped in to the lobby we were met with rude and hostile staff. The rooms had no hot water or AC. There was a terrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. No fridge or working coffee maker in the room. The closets had blankets covering them. The window coverings did not cover the entire window. The sheets and towels were dingy and dirty looking. After less than 5 minutes walking in socks on the carper, the socks were black. The ONLY plus is this hotel is close to the Capitol.
The room was kind of filthy and because I was too exhausted from my day and didn’t have an ounce of energy to let the hotel staff know. There was hair all over the bathroom and in the shower. The towels were disgusting.. I can go on and on but i won’t. But horrible experience...
They are sneaky on expedia. They put a 48 cancellation policy on it. I cancelled within 30 hours, and they still charged me for 2 rooms during my stay. When I checked in, the manager said it was fine, it was cancelled, but I did not get my money back until I filed a dispute with my bank. They were also sold out, meaning they are getting extra money they did not earn off of this, and it is unfair. Expedia was no help either. Agents speak horrible English and are not willing to help. Bad practices.

The hotel itself was ok. The room is was clean and basic. The drawback with this hotel is it’s location. It is at least a 10 minute walk from the Metro and there are few of any stores nearby to purchase food or necessities such as Advil.
The bed was awesome, but the room was kinda basic. Super close to the capital. And they had a shuttle.

I will start by saying the staff was our favorite part! From the agent who checked us in to our Bartenders Maura and Athen (sorry if I misspelled your names). They were friendly, professional and made us feel welcomed. The location is great! Short ride from Union Station as well as the attractions we were interested in. My only complaint about the hotel is the cleanliness of our room. Within minutes of us getting settled in, I noticed the toilet still had urine on the seat as well as stool stains lining the inside of the bowl. I have pictures but decided to spare you all. Additionally, the bathtub was spotted with various black marks. It was absolutely disgusting and I have never experienced this at any other hotel. While I also had friendly interactions with housekeeping, don’t expect more than your bed remade with a smile. Even after the service, we returned to our room and the bathroom was still in the same condition. Needless to say, we wouldn’t “not” recommend the hotel, however I will say if you decide to book here, pack toilet seat covers and shower shoes if you don’t already :)
