Very nice

Perfect location, nice and quiet with both Biedronka and Zabka close by. Easy instructions with very late check-in and communication was perfect. Only very tiny things like napkins or bigger towels would be on the list of improvements. 😂

The space was very large, bedroom at each side with kitchen and bathroom in middle. However the apartment was incredibly hard to find. Communication was sent during travel and was in polish…no way to interpret. Finally a nice family helped us through the first set of doors and then another lady helped us in the 2nd set of doors. The rooms themselves were dirty, I found used qtips on the table in my bedroom. There was only one bath towel and one hand towel for each of us, would have been fine except we needed towels to mop up the floor in bathroom after showers. There was not very much space in bathroom and nowhere to hang towels. Only one pillow for each of us. On a “king” bed there should have been 2.

Skip this place

There was poor communication regarding how to access the apartment. The apartment description says theirs a front desk but there isn’t. It took several attempts to obtain the key code. Upon entering, the apartment had a musty odor, which we discovered was due to a dishwasher filled with dirty dishes. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken. While the apartment is spacious, this was the only positive aspect of the rental.

Great location, Good space

This is an apartment on the third floor of the building (2nd above ground level). It's in a fantastic location. It is very close to the main center of downtown but just outside it so that it's not loud. Just around the corner, there is a grocery store which carries most things. There are also a lot of restaurants within about 10 minutes since you can walk to the main downtown area. It is also a short distance from the Jewish quarter. It's nice and quiet which is good when you're trying to sleep. The place itself has two bedrooms - one with one bed and one with two beds. There is a balcony, full kitchen, television, and a washer/dryer machine. We found the beds to be comfortable and the place to be a good place for us to spend our downtime. The building doesn't have an elevator so if carrying your luggage up the stairs is difficult for you, you may want to keep that in mind.

Don't order this property

We are furious, first oh all the entire building is under renovations and we were not informed, The entire hall is filled with construction materials, the stairs are extremely dusty and smell like mold, the apartment smells like paint and it’s unbreathable, the “view” was not existent because the windows are covered in plastic wrap.

Not satisfied with cleanliness

We were disappointed with the apartment as it didn’t have the amenities listed on the site ex: toaster, espresso machine and safe. The beds were clean and good but the few towels they gave us were thin and stained. They didn’t supply any kitchen towels and had a used sponge at the sink. When we asked for these missing items they just put us off. The place was not clean and we noticed a lot of dirty areas. The location was great so we certainly liked that part. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this particular apartment.

Ad said air conditioning and that is why I booked it and when I arrived there was no air conditioning so after a lot of back and forth we moved to the other otium building in the old town the next day with a room with air conditioning. This was very frustrating and inconvenient. The original room in the building outside of the old town did not feel clean at all.. couch is covered in stains and felt gross to sit on… black mold spots in the bathroom… counters did not feel clean. Did not have the luxury feeling like it did in the advertisement. The room in the building in the old town felt a bit cleaner. The communication with the ad booking and staff could be better. I would email them before staying to make sure your unit has air conditioning if that is important to you.

Disgusting and Wrong Accommodation Provided!

We arrived late due to our flight time and within 5 mins of arriving we realised that we would not be staying here! We tried to call the 'urgent' number but no-one answered (3 times!). There was no coffee machine as promised and we had a city view, not garden view as per our booking. The lamp above the sofa was smashed and looked dangerous. The apartment was disgusting, smelled of smoke, stains on the sofas and hairs in one of the beds. The toilet was gross and the furniture was scuffed and leather ripped! This is advertised as a 'luxury' apartment. 3 stars in the UK are better and that's saying something! We were clearly placed in the wrong building as the one that matched the photos for the one we booked was 3 doors or so down! This one was run down and looked very much like a residential building as opposed to a holiday one that had been refurbished. We decided not to stay and at great expense, had to find an alternative accommodation (thankfully the nearby Garni Hotel had speace for us (a quality hotel but at a price). The Otium manager was not available and the lady who did respond eventually was simply a messenger who stated that the manager would not respond until after the Christmas break which was of little use to us. Had the apartment been even bareable, we would not have decided to pack everything up & go searching for an alternative place at 11pm! They then told us to go through Hotels.com who, after 3 attempts agreed to give us a full refund and compensation!

Apartment war okay, bedarf aber einer Renovierung. Fernsehen konnten wir nicht in Betrieb nehmen. Es fehlte an Geschirr und Gläser, es gab keine Kaffeemaschine, sondern nur eine italienische Espressokanne, die aber ziemlich schmutzig war. Küchenmesser stumpf, Brotmesser Fehlanzeige. Lage war super!

Große Wohnung mit 2 separaten Schlafzimmern, ziemlich nah zur Altstadt gelegen und auch fußläufig machbar zum Hbf. Die Wohnung selber benötig hier und da mal ein paar Schönheitsreparaturen. Für einen Kurztrip nach Krakau mit günstiger Unterkunft aber völlig ausreichend.

Otium ligger veldig sentralt, med kort gange til gamlebyen. Stille og rolig område. Renholdet var helt greit ved ankomst. Savnet skifte av håndduker. Kommer gjerne tilbake :-)

excellent location less than 10 minute walk to the centre, very clean, comfortable and close local 24 hour shops and amenities, lovely to come back to as so warm, excellent communication with otium apartments would stay again.
