Hit & miss - overall OK & central

Room - apartment, it was spacious, quiet & very central to move about Internet: excellent & stable Free launderette Check in & out - fast & easy BUT note where which floor is assigned as 7th floor (where we were) requires you to carry your luggages on your own one level as lifts stop 6th floor BUT you can always get assistance Toilet - this disappointed us hence the mix rating, toilet heater didnt work, faucet knob was faulty (max was lukewarm water or boiling) & bath tub (not all rooms come with it) was slippery We had power failure one nite

Not so great

The hotel was nice, midway up the Royal Mile. Using google map, we climbed up flights of stairs with the luggage to reach the hotel. I was surprised that the hotel did not provide slippers. The doors of the rooms slammed easily and hard. I was startled many times when doors of other rooms closed, especially in the night. On the checkout day, on two occasions, hotel staff knocked on my door to look for housekeeper. I did not have a great experience staying here.

Comfortable hotel with good location

Hotel was located near the Edinburgh Waverley station, however, it took a walk up a flight of stairs or slope to reach. Other than that, it was a great stay. Close proximity to both the new and old towns of Edinburgh and walking distance to all the attractions. Room was clean and amenities provided were good. Plenty of food options and stores along the Royal Mile.

A charming hotel in a good location

The hotel could not be more centrally located to both the old and new town. Easy to walk everywhere. Edinburgh Waverley station & Airport Bus Terminal, both are just 7mins walk away. Friendly staff and charming rooms.

Nicely decorations, extremely helpful staff

An excellent hotel/suite located near the main train station. The hotel itself is only 5 minutes away from the new side of Edinburgh. Very friendly staff and the room itself was very well done in term of decoration and cleanness. Will recommend to anyone looking for a treat.

Friendly staff

We were put to a room at level not directly accessible by lift. The front office staff, a lady, helped to carry my super heavy luggage downstair to the room. I am touched!

No parking near the hotel . Spent more than 30 pounds on 2 day parking 15 mins walk away. If u r driving, u may want to think twice. Otherwise it is as near to main tourist attractions as the best you can get.

Great hotel in a fabulous location

Great location. Comfortable beds. Heated towel racks and L’Occitane toiletries. Internet went down one night, and tough to get spare coffee pods delivered to the room in a timely manner. Overall, it was a great hotel located in the old town. Would definitely stay again.
