A great way to spend a night in the desert. It’s definitely glamming as your room has a bathroom, air conditioning, and WiFi. The dinner that is served is delicious. Sitting outside after dinner looking at the stars is just amazing. The room was spacious and clean.

Hi,
We went to the property and were informed that the room that we had booked is no longer available and were given a very sub standard below the one that we had selected . We would like a refund

Experience dessert stay.
The camp is located right in the dessert therefore cannot expect much on comfort and cleanliness. However Mazayen is thought to be acceptable considering its environment. The triple sharing room is spacious and the bed size is larger than usual single bed. Room amenities is basic (no kettle, no cup). Hot shower only available from 5-9pm and few hours in the morning. Wifi is almost non-existent. Bring a torchlight as we encountered 2 brief power outages in few hours. Dinner was good while breakfast was not as good. Staff is generally helpful and friendly.
The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The food was excellent. The staff was wonderful and fun. Everyone is so so friendly and helpful. We had an amazing experience on the Jeep tour with our driver Naïf. We star gazed at night in an awesome atmosphere and watched the sunrise the next day. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. It was a fantastic stay.
The camp manager, Malek, helped me greatly in dealing with the airline who lost my luggages. He arranged for the airlines to deliver our lost luggages to our hotel while we’re taking the stargazing tour from Mazayen Camp

fairly good spot in the desert - food could have been better but alas, we are in the desert. drinks (water, soft drinks) are very expensive and not included
We stayed in the Martian tent, the room was clean
The restaurant was nice, we had a fantastic Beduin type BBQ which was very good. They have a great dinner and breakfast buffet

Great place in the desert
Welcome non existant
Food mediocre
4 power cuts duing our 1 night stay
No heating working, it was only 3 degrees that night
Water cold in morning, we were told there were too many guests, so nothing could be done.
Beverages expensive, no alcohol
Very difficult to find, no sign posts .
Salim was a great host and interested in ensuring all his guests felt welcome and knew what activity options are available. Great food and great location for a couple of nights. Easy to find with welcome and guide from Wadi Rum visitor centre.
This is was by far the best experience we had in Jordan, and god knows the others were pretty awesome. From the warm welcome to the farewell everything was extraordinary. The Jeep tour was fabulous and our driver Ahmed was the best you can have. He knew all the shortcuts and all to make sure we were always by ourselves as if we privatized the Wadi Rum. Place was hard to find on our own but we called them and they came picked us up.
We spent one night but we recommend at least 2 as the scenery is just crazy and you can have different activities (horse, camel ...)
Aymen the owner made us feel special. I even forgot my Ipad in the room and guess what ? They brought it to me all the way to my Hotel in Aqaba !! The good ratings are well deserved ...it's a 5 star experience.
Property is gorgeous. Amazing facilities. Professional and highly efficient staff.

Not good value in my opinion
I’ve stayed in other desert camps around the world and my impression was that Mazayen could be more authentic and it’s definitely not good value for the price. The rooms are ok and comfy enough, but it looks like a regular hotel room. Bathroom cleanliness was a big issue as it looked like it wasn’t cleaned after previous use. The restaurant pavilion is too big and impersonal, there wasn’t bonfire or music the day I was there. The food served for lunch was rather expensive and not of good quality. Dinner was better and included in the price. All the power is off from 10am to 5pm, which wasn’t a problem for me, but if you have to stay in for any reason, it’s good to know it. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but we’ll try another camp next time.
