Good hotel

The hotel has a good central location and it has an underground carpark. There is a small kitchen in the room and communal laundry. The couple running the hotel were very nice and gave good communication. I found the hotel good calue for money.

Towels were not changed till we asked after 4 nights, and none of the things like coffee were ever refilled. Although we accept that the apartment is not serviced daily, we expect that for a stay of six nights it should be more user friendly. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Excellent location.

Friendly and well located

Nice, clean and friendly hotel. Good location on main tourist street and close to several excellent restaurants. Good advice and recommendations from staff. Only problem is noise from street cleaning which begins at 6am and involves noisy leaf blowing but beyond hotel’s control.

Excellent location in Port Douglas, very close to the marina, main street and an abundance of great cafes and restaurants. Spacious apartment, but it's certainly tired and in need of modernising and refreshing.

Easy check in. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Building a little bit dated. No lift, but quite a few stairs. Poor WiFi coverage. Comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Amazing place. I highly recommend it. Lyn and Rob are wonderful hosts who are very helpful and accommodating, they really went above and beyond to help me organise the activities I wanted to do, and all their recommendations and tips where spot on. I can’t wait to go back to this lovely place.

Nice apartment in great location

We stayed here for 6 nights. The location of the apartment is excellent. It is right in the centre of town and within walking distance of everything. The property was spacious and clean.

Lovely Apartment in the heart of the town.

We loved our stay here. Our welcome was enthusiastic and so helpful letting us check in a little earlier. The owners are outstanding . Le Cher du Monde is situated at the heart of this lovely town/village. It is very comfortable. If we do come back to Port Douglas we would definately stay here again.

Super place to stay and explore Port Douglas and area. Apartment was clean, airy and comfortable. Manager Rob couldn't have been warmer or more helpful. Definitely where I'd be heading again if I'm ever back in the area.

Home from home

Great location right in the centre of everything close to the beach and the marina. Loads of great restaurants and supermarket close by. It's self catering so not daily maid service but the apartment was excellent and Rob the owner was amazing. Whatever you wanted to know or needed to book he was on hand to help or do it for you. Also has laundry for minimal cost.

Lovely two room apartment.

Excellent place. Handy for all amenities, too. Only minor gripe was no lift, so had to lug four cases up three flights of stairs, in 35" heat, and wifi was restricted, although that wasn't an issue for us.

Great apartment, very central, Rob is lovely

Rob is a delight - he was very helpful and always very friendly. Room was large and comfortable. I would have liked the wifi to cover the whole place (or even just have a "wifi zone" with seats) but hey you don't go to Port Douglas for the wifi!!
