Perfect place to stay

This beautiful cottage was an excellent place to stay for our family. We slept well, it was quiet and having a full kitchen was perfect for our dinner and breakfast. It was a bit confusing with finding a code to open the door in our reservation materials. Thankfully the key box was not locked (so we didn’t need the code) to obtain the house key.

The cottage was perfect for a couple days exploring the area. Very clean and cosy. The kitchen had everything we could need. Only challenge was that we never received check-in instructions and key code. We had to call the property owner to get the key code.

We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in.

Very nicely located for visit to golden circle. Two bedroom cottage was large enough for family of 4. Kitchen had all necessary appliances and cottage was well maintained and very clean. Bathroom were bit small but that's what you see in this part of Europe.

The way the property is set up it felt like we were all by ourselves, we never saw our neighbors at all. So quiet on the farm, and about a 5 min drive to an N1 gas station where we bought groceries. The cabin has a full kitchen, games and comfortable furnishings.

Property itself is nice but there were lots of midges around and we all got a good bite. Insect still got into the property even with windows closed. It would have been nice if we knew it beforehand then we can bring some repellent. Another thing was we never received any check-in information (code for lock) but luckily we were able to reach the property owner by phone.

We love this property. The unit is roomy. Well equipped kitchen. Very private. Nice view. We will definitely stay here again. The only problem was the owner was supposed to send us an email with the entrance information, but we had to reach out to her to actually get it. Other than that everything was beautiful.

Very nice cabin. However, when we stayed there, for some reason the cabin was unbelievably hot. The outside temperature was quite cool (probably 12C at the warmest), and all the thermostats were turned all the way down (off), but it felt as if the heat was going full blast. I am not sure why it was so unbearably hot. But when we opened up the windows, we got eaten alive by bugs. I ended up sleeping in the car to escape the heat and the bugs. I was informed by the host though that they were having bug screens installed on the windows the day after we checked out, so hopefully it's better for the next guests.

Schöne Häuser in ruhiger Umgebung. Der Check in war easy mit Schlüsselbox. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, sogar mit Herd. Die Sauberkeit war leider mangelhaft. Die Kaffeeflecken noch vom Vormieter auf dem Küchenboden, das Besteck und Geschirr im Schrank schmutzig, in den Schubladen Dreck und Krümel, der Grill in keinem guten Zustand. Leider. Es ist schade, dass darauf kaum geachtet wird, denn das Objekt als solches ist sehr schön.
